World Record for Youth Basketball Team Attendance. There were so many talented teams and players competing in Louisville across the seven day span. It obviously would’ve been impossible to catch everyone, but I did my best to catch multiple teams in multiple different divisions. Here are some of the guards that stood out to me in the 2025 divisions.
Really solid player all-around. Can contribute in so many different ways. 3 level scorer, strong handles, good vision, delivers great passes, plays good defense, and the list goes on. D1 college coaches have started taking notice and offering the 2025 guard, but this is just the beginning.
Excellent guard skills allow her to play any guard position. Did a great job pushing tempo for her team and consistently saw the floor well. Pull-up jumper was looking tough and she can finish on both sides of the rim. Applied excellent pressure defensively and constantly got her hands on the ball to come up with steals or deflections.
Highlights
Excellent facilitator who her team continuously relied on to bring the ball down the floor. Handled pressure well. Great court vision and made excellent passes down the floor in transition. It was obvious she could score herself inside or out, but she was all about creating and making plays for her teammates. Also was very solid defensively and played fearless.
Team was able to rely on her to consistently knock down shots from all over the court, including from deep range. Didn’t shy away from contact on drives and also finished floaters. Handled the ball well and made great passes. Court awareness really stood out as well.
Great point guard skills and excellent use of speed. True playmaker. Consistently drew help and kicked to the open player. Also scored at all 3 levels herself. Made great decisions regarding when to take it all the way versus when to kick it or take the pull-up jumper. Moved well without the ball. Quick release on shot allowed her to knock them down even with a defender running at her.
Highlights
Excellent shooter with a quick release on her shot. Doesn’t matter if it’s on the move, off the dribble, or a set shot, she can knock them down from all over the court. Not just a shooter or scorer though – also made good passes, handled the ball well, crashed the boards, and played tough defense.

Shifty handles were on full display. Really has a lot of quickness and had various moves she could use to get past her defender. Made great drives and good passes when help defense stepped over.
