These players have shown a ton of skill this summer and continues to get better over time. I’m excited to watch each one of these individuals play varsity basketball for their High Schools.
Aniyah Boens Aniyah Boens 5’8″ | CG DCG | 2027 IA is a combo guard who can do it all! If she has to handle the ball against aggressive defense or play in the post she can do it. Also, she’s been playing up with Beyond Ball and continues to get better because she’s been playing against more experienced players. Urbandale High School is getting a player who can play in transition and make plays under pressure. I’m excited to see her succeed in High School basketball.
Fayth Sullivan
Fayth Sullivan
Fayth Sullivan has shown a lot of skill on the offensive side for CY Select . She would much rather drive to the basket then look for her jump shot. Sometimes she would mix things up and guard the post defensively. Fayth does a good job exploiting mismatches and she doesn’t mind contact getting to the rim. North Polk High School is getting a player who wants to do whatever it takes to win. In addition, she works on her individual skill outside of practices and games and it shows during game play. Also, Fayth is a volume shooter which extends the defense giving her the driving lanes she wants. Once she sees an open gap, it’s without a doubt she’s going to attack the rim. Lastly, she understands that she’s much stronger off two feet and plays under control when she drives to the basket.
212 Basketball Academy has done a great job teaching the game of basketball to Hayden Kuhlmann Hayden Kuhlmann 5’6″ | PG Algona | 2027 IA . One thing that stood out the most waws her decision making ability. Furthermore, she lets the offense come to her and doesn’t force shots and minimizes her turnovers. Hayden is a next play player and doesn’t allow mistakes to dictate the next play. When she made mistakes, she worked harder defensively which you have to be able to transition offense to defense. Finally, Hayden has good shooting mechanics and is able to get to the basket when her mind is set. Algona High School is getting a talented guard who’s ready for High School basketball.
