Recruitment Update: August 14th, 2026

Here are a few athletes out of Iowa that have recently been offered or they have recently committed to compete at the next level following their impressive AAU seasons this Summer.    Every player listed has shown off their skill-set over the years with their varsity high school team and that has helped them prove to recruiters that they have what it takes to suit up at the next level following their high school careers. Dorrity picked up one of her first D2 offers the other day when HC Theo Dean and The Truman State Bulldogs decided to pull the trigger on the talented Forward. Dorrity is listed at 5'11 and she is competes primarily as the SF or PF on the Varsity floor right now. At the next level she will most likely be placed as her team's SF or 4 a majority of the time. It makes sense with her height and her experience that she possesses within 15 FT of the basket. This Winter Dorrity will look to be Xavier's playmaker in the middle. She is going to have most of the workload throughout a contest whenever she has someone smaller or weaker within her individual matchup because she can finish through contact or she can finish over the top at a thorough rate. I'm sure this won't be Dorrity's last offer from the next level. Timing is everything and she is moving into a really important time within her basketball career.     LB is off the board! Last Fall moving into the season Beam stood out as a worthy competitor, who should have a shot to play at the college level once her high school career comes to a close. She demonstrated that she played a well rounded game as a whole and she always produced in multiple ways throughout because of that factor. She could score at every level with fundamental attacking movements, she rebounded on both ends, she could defend multiple positions, and did a great job leading with her communication skills when things became intense. Following the Fall we watched Beam do her thing on the Varsity floor, taking her AC program to the 5A State Tournament - on a dream run during the Playoffs, where they ended up falling just short of a Title. Now it looks like she will be taking her talents to the Twin Cities to compete with D2 Concordia University - St. Paul Golden Bears following this next season. I love this move for both parties. This is going to turn out to be a really productive player at that level if she can find her niche early during her time there.     Trinity Whitefeather has locked in her future commitment. After this season, the crafty PG will be taking her talents to Briar Cliff to keep her basketball journey alive for the next 4-5 seasons. We recently covered Whitefeather discussing her AAU season as a whole and how she would still be a good pickup for someone around the Midwest so it's ironic that this commitment came shortly to follow. We are talking about a FAST PG, that thinks just as quickly. She is sound in her decision making and she seems to make the right play whenever there are multiple choices put in front of her in real time. She might not be the loudest player on the court, so people overlook her but you shouldn't cause she could kill you if you don't take her seriously enough. We have seen that time and time again over the last few seasons on the AAU court on the road.     The offers are starting to fly in for Lizzy Mason of Keokuk High School and Iowa Ball Stars AAU. Mason, the 5'6 SG, is the type of Guard that can move between the 1 and the 2 spot. She is good enough to run the team's offense by setting everyone up and calling plays or she can move off of the ball and make shots from deep off the catch or she can attack. She is very good at moving without the ball when she doesn't have to run the PG spot and that helps open up holes within the opponent's defense. Mason has recently been offered by Dominican (IL), Dubuque (IA), & Mount Mercy (IA) - to compete within their programs when she gets to the collegiate level. These are all solid options to have but it's going to come down to where Mason what's to be physically located. Wherever that is, is where she will end up and from that decision she will get to back to work to become the best version of herself that she can become.     Last recruitment update article we highlighted Liv Adams because of some of the offers she was receiving. Well since that she time she received another offer, this time being from Southeastern CC. The SE CC program has been in a rebuild the last few years and they are trying to settling their foundation so that they can build something special there and the coaching staff see's Adams as apart of that process. They have done a good job of bringing in talent from all around the Country the last season but they are still locking for their home-grown ballers so this would be a big step in the right direction but we will just have to wait and see how it plays out.
