Reese provides a lot of length in the frontcourt. Her athleticism is as important as the length. I may say this a lot but she really runs the floor well. That’s important for a player that is 6’0. She moves without the ball and her ability to finish plays at the rim is just one of her strengths. She has good hands, rebounds well, and has the potential to be a difference maker on defense. She will be an important part of Lake Washington’s success in 2024. Reece is the best frontcourt player, along with standout guards, Paige Citron Paige Citron 5’7″ | CG Lake Washington | 2025 State WA , Ashley Uusitalo Ashley Uusitalo 5’9″ | SG Lake Washington | 2026 State WA , and Julia Benthin Julia Benthin 5’8″ | CG Lake Washington | 2027 WA .
Abby is a high energy player who plays much bigger than she is. She is active on defense, great at getting to loose balls and rebounds. She has toughness and touch in the paint with put-backs. She can grab and go on the break and runs the floor hard to get herself easy baskets. She was an honorable mention Greater Spokane all league pick last season. With her skills and toughness, she will be looking to up that in the 2024 season.
Kyairra is a scorer. She averaged around 20 points a game last season. She is tough in the mid-range and has the ability to shoot off the bounce. She has good footwork and uses it to create space. She handles the ball well and can play both guard spots but she is a bucket getter either way.
Claire is a strong lefty who can play guard or forward. She does most of her damage getting to the basket off the dribble. She is tough when she gets going downhill and she doesn’t shy away from contact. She has the size and versatility to be effective guarding any position, especially with the way she moves her feet. A big part of Burlington Edison’s runner up finish at the 2A state tournament Las year.
Another piece of the Burlington Edison success, Chesah was a 1st team all Nothwest league pick last season. She not only has the size to be a great rebounder, she blocks out, and goes after the ball! She gets her points in the paint and a lot come on effort and second chances.
Keana is a guard with a lot of quickness. She seems to take pride in playing defense and getting on the floor for loose balls. She is hustle plus skill as she can also score from all levels on the offensive end. A big piece for Central Valley last season, her role should be even bigger in 2024.
