Throughout the day at the Truman State Elite Camp I was taking notes on players as I walked by. Below I am going to drop the rest of my notes on the IOWA players that competed throughout the day and stood out in their own specific way. Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='246149' first='Sophia' last='Hope'] - SF/PF - 2024 - Waukee, Iowa

Athletic, versatile, play-maker. Three terms that define Hope when she is on the floor playing the game she loves. Hope is already a Truman State commit and I think she is going to flourish there for her college career. As for her senior year coming up at Waukee high school, she is more than ready to make a run at a state championship in Iowa.

[player_tooltip player_id='582831' first='Joelle' last='Johnson'] - CG - 2025 - Pleasantville, Iowa

[player_tooltip player_id='582831' first='Joelle' last='Johnson'] shows good bursts of skill and speed. She is the type of player in Iowa that is going to be impacting several games over the next two years at Pleasantville high school. The last two high school seasons Johnson has been playing good ball but I think there is a higher level that she can elevate her game too. We will just have to wait and see though. With determination and the correct off-season work, she is going to be just fine.

[player_tooltip player_id='667952' first='Jaliyah' last='Kinnetz-Jenkins'] - PG - 2026 - Johnston, Iowa

Kinnetz was one of the best point guards I saw compete at the Truman State Elite Camp. Her control, pace, and knowledge to move to the right spots in the right moments is impressive. She has a shifty handle that usually ends up a clean look for herself or another teammate in that possession. From what I'm hearing, Kinnetz has a good chance to start this winter at Johnston high school in Iowa. In a program with several Division-1 starters on roster, that's impressive.

[player_tooltip player_id='940993' first='Mollie' last='Schnormeier'] - CG - 2025 - Gilbert, Iowa

When I saw [player_tooltip player_id='940993' first='Mollie' last='Schnormeier'] my first two comments were that she has good size and she is a solid overall guard. Offensively, she doesn't favor one side over another, while always keeping herself between the ball and her defender. I'm sure that Schnormeier is going to put up some big numbers this winter at Gilbert high school. With her coordination and smarts, she could get some things done.

Brylee Seaman - SG - 2024 - Muscatine, Iowa

Brylee Seaman is a hard working guard. She knows her role and never tries to over-play the hand she is dealt. I need to see more of Seaman this year at Muscatine high school but as for Sunday, she showed me she is a pretty decent basketball player. She can handle with both hands at an equal rate, she can rebound over players around her size, she can defend quick guards, and she is a good communicator on the floor. All things college coaches love to see.

[player_tooltip player_id='502096' first='KeaOnna' last='Worley'] - PG - 2027 - Cedar Rapids, Iowa

[player_tooltip player_id='502096' first='KeaOnna' last='Worley'] was one of the youngest players competing at this Truman State Elite Camp but you'd never be able to tell by how she conducted herself. She was doing her usual business of displaying her elite ability with the ball while commanding her team as their point guard when it came to competitive play. Definitely a top 3 point guard of the day in my opinion, no matter the age.

[player_tooltip player_id='894102' first='Taryne' last='Werstein'] - SG - 2026 - Waukee, Iowa

[player_tooltip player_id='894102' first='Taryne' last='Werstein'] displayed a great ability to catch and shoot on Sunday. She got to the spots she wanted to on the perimeter and made a lot of shots because of it. Werstein does what every great shooter does best, she works off of the ball at a high pace and never stops moving. As games go on, opponents can't stay in front of her, leading to open looks because of her endurance against others who may be trying to defend her. Werstein may not see the varsity floor this season exactly with the roster her varsity team will have but just wait, her time is coming.

[player_tooltip player_id='246133' first='Eva' last='Solseth'] - SG - 2024 - Pleasant Hill, Iowa

When speaking about great shooters at this camp we need to mention [player_tooltip player_id='246133' first='Eva' last='Solseth']. Solseth has balance, great footwork, and the knowledge of when to shoot compared to when she should pump-fake it and finish the play closer to the hoop. On Sunday, Solseth was coming off of screens with intent and knocking down a lot of shots when it came to competitive play. For an athlete who put up some good numbers the last few years in high school ball, I'm expecting her biggest season to be this winter. With the team that this group has, Solseth is going to have her moments to shine throughout the year, no doubt about it.

[player_tooltip player_id='638015' first='Maryne' last='Szalo'] - SF/PF - 2026 - Waukee, Iowa

[player_tooltip player_id='638015' first='Maryne' last='Szalo'] is a rising talent in the state of Iowa over these past few months. A player that is getting some real college attention, displayed on Sunday just why she is getting that attention. Szalo has size, skill, and strength. She is the type of player that can move outside the three point line and beat her opponent with speed or go into the lane and dominate her opponent with power, it doesn't really matter. It was more of the same for Szalo at this camp. She showed on more than one occasion that she belong there with that high level of elite competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='502234' first='Kennedy' last='Skaggs'] - CG - 2026 - Williamsburg, Iowa

The mixture of length and shooting ability that [player_tooltip player_id='502234' first='Kennedy' last='Skaggs'] has is impressive. She has nice reach, active hands, and a uniformed shooting stroke whenever she catches. When I first had the chance of seeing Skaggs compete last high school season, her best ability was shooting the ball but over the past year she has really expanded her game. If she continues on this trajectory and stays dedicated, she is going to be getting a few college offers in the near future.

[player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] - PG - 2026 - Greenfield, Iowa

Another solid performance out of [player_tooltip player_id='510277' first='Izzy' last='Eisbach'] on Sunday at this Elite camp. Eisbach is a crafty and yet fundamental point guard. She understands how to play some really good defense, while being a consistent producer on the offensive end of the floor. This was on full display in Kirksville's throughout the day. During skill drills in the AM Eisbach looked on point and then when it got into competitive play, she did everything she could with her time on the floor. For high school ball this winter I'm expecting another breakout season for Eisbach and Nodaway Valley.

[player_tooltip player_id='311388' first='Lauren' last='Walker'] - PG - 2025 - DeWitt, Iowa

I've known about [player_tooltip player_id='311388' first='Lauren' last='Walker'] for a few years now but as of recent, she has shown everyone watching that she could become a college level point guard before her high school career comes to an end at Central Dewitt. Walker is a hard working guard that leads her teams by example. She is great with the ball in her hands as the orchestrator of her offense whenever she is coming down the floor. On Sunday, Walker showed an act for coming to the ball and making the most out of her opportunities. Coming off of a fantastic AAU season with her [program_tooltip program_id='715980' first='Team' last='Iowa'] BlueStar squad, I'll be looking to see if Walker can ride that momentum into her sophomore season of high school ball.
