Isabella Joseph
Isabella Joseph
Joseph had a good handle and showed off her mid-range jumper throughout the day. She ran the floor hard in transition, caught the ball with two hands, and finished through contact. She had active hands on the defensive end.
Day is a talented guard who aggressively drives to the basket and possesses a variety of finishing moves. She does a great job slashing without the ball in her hands. She has a quick first step and would get past her defender and hit the pull-up jumper. This was my first time seeing Sadie play in person. I’m excited to watch her game continue to grow over the winter.
Highlights
Raska did a little bit of everything at the Top 250 Expo. My notes on her were lengthy! When she played point guard, she would push the tempo and displayed excellent ball-handling ability. She was crafty getting to the basket and scored more than once on her step-through. She has a high IQ on the defensive end of the floor and was always in the right position to get multiple steals.
Cumming was knocking down lots of 3’s on Saturday at the Top 250 Expo. She also wasn’t afraid to attack the rim and finish with a floater. She did a great job communicating on the defensive end of the floor and had active hands.
Highlights
I first saw Maurer play at the Mitten Summer Showdown this summer and she impressed then and she continues to impress. I love Point Guards who push the pace, and she does this well with polished ball-handling skills and a killer crossover! She had a left-handed floater over a taller defender one time down the floor, and the very next possession, she knocked down a corner 3.
Highlights
Baer was an energy player on the defensive end of the court. She had multiple steals on the day. She was able to get downhill and she had some finishes in her bag of tricks, including a nice euro step.
Faith Zoldos
Faith Zoldos
Zoldos doesn’t have a ranking by her name…YET! She is a lefty guard that can pretty much do it all. Within a matter of two minutes, she led her team to a 9-0 run by aggressively attacking the rim and scoring a 3-pointer. When she catches the ball on the left wing, it’s a bucket every time with her rip-through to get by her defender. Faith is going to be an exciting prospect to watch over the Winter and beyond.
Smith is a stat stuffer! She used her strength to pull down boards and go back up strong. She had multiple and one’s on the day. She has a nice touch around the rim and used her floater in traffic.
Dixon is athletic and did a great job on the glass with numerous offensive rebounds and put-backs. Defensively, she was a great rim protector and had many blocks on the day. She attacks the basket and has a nice mid-range touch.
Straub is a strong Post player that rebounds at a high rate. She does a great job as a rim protector with many blocks. She finished tough through contact all day. But, I would say the highlight of her day was a buzzer-beater 3-pointer to give her team the win!
