Blacksburg HS - The Wildcats (9-14) a season ago will look to be a better team this season in Class 2A. This off season the Wildcats added Senior [player_tooltip player_id='359523' first='Shyrique' last='Parker'] from county rival Gaffney HS. Parker brings good versatility to the wing for the Wildcats with her ability to handle the rock and make shots out on the perimeter. Shyrique averaged 12.7 ppg and 5.5 rebounds last season at Gaffney HS.

[player_tooltip player_id='380323' first='Annabella' last='Foster'] plays aggressive around the paint area and can knockdown the short mid-range jumper from time to time.

[player_tooltip player_id='593223' first='Taylor' last='Tessner'] saw good minutes last season as a freshman. Tessner plays the game as driver-slasher at times. She shows to have a nice touch from the foul line. K.K. Dawson is a junior this season for the Wildcats. She showed some moments this summer with her ability to knockdown shots from behind the 3-point line.

Chester HS - It was a long season for the Lady Cyclones last season after finishing (1-14).

Fairfield Central HS (Winnsboro) - The Lady Griffins were just (12-13) a season ago. Fairfield Central HS returns a lineup that scored over 40 points last season. Junior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='276129' first='Jordyn' last='Adams'] is back to run the show from out top. Adams averaged 21.7 ppg and 3.5 steals a season ago. Adams really brings a solid on the ball defender to the floor and a willingness to score the ball. She can drop the floater in the lane or simply pull-up from the perimeter. Jordyn enters her junior season with 798 career points.

Junior post player [player_tooltip player_id='252632' first='Zanariah' last='Yarborough'] brings toughness and a rugged post to the front court for the Lady Griffins. She really likes to play her game through contact and really looks to battle inside the paint. Zanariah averaged nearly a double-double last season 9.8 ppg and 11.4 rebounds.

Will the Lady Griffins sit out and not play region foe Gray Collegiate this season as part of a region boycott?

Gaffney HS - The Lady Indians finished last season at (12-10). The Lady Indians return a lot of experience back this season. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='567026' first='Shiriah' last='Harris'] averaged 11.2 ppg and 7.9 rebounds a season ago. Harris can play inside-out on the floor and feels very comfortable shooting the ball from the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='567023' first='Lauren' last='Mathis'] gives the Lady Indians an outside threat at all-times with her ability to make the 3-ball. Mathis a catch-shoot player shoots the ball at a good clip while averaging 6.2 ppg last season.

Can Senior post player [player_tooltip player_id='634330' first='Diamynd' last='Buckson'] be a break-out player this season? Buckson surely didn't put up huge numbers last season down low. Diamynd has good size around the basket, and she looks to post up with her back to the basket. Buckson does a nice job of keeping the ball up high after claiming it off the glass. She shows good timing at times and the ability to challenge and alter shots around the paint.

Great Falls HS - The Lady Red Devils (7-16) last season will rely on [player_tooltip player_id='798537' first='Janie' last='Bailey'] again this season. Bailey a sophomore an All-Region performer a season ago averaged 7.9 ppg last year.

Murrell just a sophomore is still fairly new to the game. Aiyana runs the floor very well, sets screens, fills the lane in transition and can step-out to the elbow for a short jumper from time to time. Murrell averaged 6.6 ppg and 6.7 rebounds last season.

The Lady Lions added [player_tooltip player_id='266052' first='Trinity' last='Baker'] from Legion Collegiate this off season. Baker a senior guard should provide some very good leadership for the Lady Lions in the Class 1A ranks. Trinity brings to the floor a willingness to defend on the ball and the ability to bring some chaos. [player_tooltip player_id='844793' first='Mariah' last='Wallace'] a senior guard will join Baker in the backcourt this season.
