Lucas played major minutes last season as a 7th grader for the Lady Stallions at the Class 4A level. Kaleigh averaged 9.7 ppg last season for The Lady Stallions (25-3). She does a nice job of turning the corner and finishing at the rim with either hand. Kaleigh will utilize the floater down the lane or at times stop and pop from the mid-range. She logs a lot of minutes and ball-handling duties from out top.
Taelor is very quick end to end with the ball in her hands. Look for her to get some good minutes this season for the Keenan HS Lady Raiders. She had no problems getting downhill to the basket and touching the paint. Taelor will score the ball at the rim and bring some pesky defense to the floor. She will look to be the future of Lady Raiders basketball down the road.
Raina was playing down on the block here today for her squad. She can post up and play with her back to the basket. Mayers was able to go out top and set screens and did a nice job of playing away from the ball. She fronted the post at times and felt comfortable playing down in the paint.
Raina should contribute some good quality minutes this season for the defending Class 2A Lady War Eagles program and Head Coach Brandon Wallace.
Ross saw good minutes last season for the Lady Gamecocks at the Class 5A level. She does her best work playing around the paint in the post area. A’raina is active on the glass and really does a nice job of rebounding the ball outside of her area. She will play with a senior dominated cast around her this season. Ross plays mature for her age and doesn’t seem to back down from a challenge while on the floor.
Williams likes to play her game as an off guard. Jurnee has no problem letting it fly from deep or from the mid-range. She connected on a few shots here today. Last season she averaged 5.6 ppg as a 7th grader for the Lady Vikings. Look for those numbers to jump with the departure of the Oliver sisters to nearby Greenwood HS.
