Knox Catholic vs TKA: Game Report

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Knox Catholic hosted TKA on 11/28 at home. The Lady Irish won 66-38! The only lead TKA had was in the 1st quarter. After the 1st quarter, it was all Knoxville Catholic and their lock down defense! I always like to give credit when it's due and Knox Catholic's entire team deserves credit for playing non-stop defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='245355' first='Sydney' last='Mains'] got hot in the second quarter and she continues to show everyone why Florida Atlantic is going to LOVE her! I can bet she wants the back to back title before she heads down south though! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I stated that [player_tooltip player_id='631091' first='Amaya' last='Redd'] is the most impactful player. I stand on this too. The way she impacts a game is fun to witness! When she gets a head of steam to the basket, you aren't stopping her. Redd provides her team with numerous extra possessions! The effort from Redd and all of the Knox Catholic players never have to be questioned! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now, is Milligan getting a steal? Serious question? In my opinion, Milligan University has to be more than excited from the commitment by [player_tooltip player_id='290992' first='Caroline' last='Krueger']. Caroline is going to be a big part in the success at Catholic this year and I won't be surprised if/when she makes an instant impact on a good Milligan squad next year too!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Knoxville Catholic made over ten 3's in the game. [player_tooltip player_id='636390' first='Andrea' last='Flores'], [player_tooltip player_id='686347' first='Logan' last='Connatser'], Sydney English, and others contributed from behind the arc! I don't know how you stop Catholic! When you look at a team with solid players from the starters to the ones coming off the bench, every single one of them are good athletes! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='514131' first='Evaiya' last='Mitchell'] was still the fastest player on the court. Mitchell handles the ball well, shows great footwork, and locks you up on defense. Again, credit the entire Knox Catholic team. [player_tooltip player_id='881583' first='Ensley' last='Perry'] will never stop going full force giving over 125% every time she steps on the court. I know I missed a few names to add from the Knoxville Catholic team but I'm here to tell everyone to follow this team's journey and every single player on it. I don't know many high schools that have all athletes that can play at the next level. Knox Catholic has that. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now, let's talk about an extremely young TKA squad that definitely got better today! [player_tooltip player_id='899864' first='Bailey' last='Tidwell'] hit the first 3 pointer of the game for TKA. Bailey is an all out go-getter that never takes a play off! [player_tooltip player_id='408998' first='Brady' last='Branam'] flirted with another double double walking away with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Branam is still the walking double double even if she missed it by 1 rebound. [player_tooltip player_id='583370' first='Skylar' last='Walden'] also scored double figures with 11 points, 4 rebounds, &amp; 2 assists. [player_tooltip player_id='620459' first='Olivia' last='Loveday'] was the second leading rebounder on her team walking away with 5 rebounds! TKA lost this game but this wasn't the win or go home. This was a learning experience to help this young team grow!
