Big Performances at the Mystics Open Run

Mystics hosted another competitive Open Run, bringing together a talented group of players for an opportunity to compete and showcase their skills. The session featured plenty of action in both 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 settings, giving players the chance to make plays on both ends of the floor. With so much talent on the court, there were several players who put together strong performances and found different ways to impact the game. Here are some of the players who delivered big performances at the Mystics Open Run.    Layla put together one of the more eye-catching performances at the Mystics Open Run, especially during the 3-on-3 action. The guard caught fire from beyond the arc, knocking down three consecutive three-pointers to quickly get into a rhythm. She also showed good decision-making when attacking the lane, coming to two feet and making smart reads once the defense collapsed. Layla turned defense into offense by taking a steal coast to coast, and she even came up with a block on the perimeter. Her scoring burst, decision-making, and ability to impact the game on both ends made for a strong showing.     Josie showed a nice combination of length, athleticism, and scoring ability at the Mystics Open Run. During 5-on-5 play, she knocked down a smooth mid-range jumper and consistently found ways to score around the basket, where her athleticism made her difficult to contain. Josie also showed her willingness to battle on the glass during 3-on-3 action, coming away with several rebounds and converting offensive boards into putback opportunities. Her ability to score at multiple levels while contributing on the glass gave her a strong showing throughout the run.     Nicole showed off her speed and defensive instincts during the Mystics Open Run. In 5-on-5 action, she used her quickness to turn the corner and get downhill, putting pressure on the defense with her ability to attack off the dribble. Her speed was especially evident on the defensive end when she chased down a player in transition and made an outstanding play from behind to knock the ball away and prevent an easy scoring opportunity. Nicole's quickness and willingness to make hustle plays stood out throughout the morning.     Braelyn showed a nice blend of perimeter skill and toughness at the Mystics Open Run. During 5-on-5 action, the wing was active on the glass, collecting rebounds and turning several offensive boards into putback opportunities. She also made an impact defensively with a block on the perimeter, showing her ability to make plays away from the basket. Braelyn added a three-pointer to her performance, giving her team another scoring option from the outside. Her rebounding, defensive activity, and ability to stretch the floor gave her a strong showing.     Lyla used her quickness and ball skills to create space during the Mystics Open Run. The guard is shifty with tight handles, allowing her to change direction effectively and keep defenders off balance. She also brought plenty of toughness to the defensive end, competing hard and making it difficult for opposing players to get comfortable with the ball. Her combination of ball control, quickness, and defensive pressure gave her some good moments throughout the run.
