The Tennessee HS freshman is averaging a cool 18 points per game on 41% from the floor. She is Tennessee’s best player, and opposing defenses load up on her every game. She’s hit 22 threes (at 35%!) and is shooting 88% from the free throw line. She’s a do it all guard that has answered any and all questions about how shed hold up versus big-time competition. She’s a star in the making.
The freshman guard has come out to help a spunky Powell team be a real threat. Wiles is averaging nearly 15 points per game on the year, she’s had multiple 20+ point efforts (including a 27 point night!). Scored 20 points last week against Halls. She’s averaging 2.5 made threes a game. Great numbers for a freshman.
Wilhite is leading a very good Cumberland Co Lady Jets team in scoring, and has done so all year long. Consistently averaging around 18 points, those are phenomonal numbers for a freshman guard playing vs the difficult schedule Cumberland Co has faced thus far. Wilhite is a STAR.
Walden’s season is just getting better and better as the TKA district schedule is beginning. She’s averaging 18 points a game, and has put up some eye-popping performances as of late (including a 10 three, 34 point performance). She also recently put up a 12/12/8–just two rebounds shy of a triple double. Those 12 assists are proof she’s more than just a scorer.

Rollins is another ’27 averaging right at 18 points per contest. She came into the season with a big-time resume, and she has not disappointed. She’s put up some big time performances (including a 31 point outing with three 3’s). The South Doyle offense runs through Rollins, and she’s more than risen to the occasion.

Braden got meaningful minutes last season for CAK as an 8th grader, and has taken full advantage of that experience as she’s now averaging 15 points a game a year later. The most impressive thing for Braden is that she’s shooting 50% from two on 113 attempts. For a slender, long armed freshman, those are incredibly efficient numbers. Side note as I dug into stats–Braden is averaging 1.8 blocks a game! Game changing defensive numbers from a guard!
Recently has put up stat lines with eye-popping non-traditional numbers
17 points, 11 assists, 10 rebs
18 points, 3 blocks, 5 steals
21 points 5 rebounds
The freshman as “star” written all over her game.
Woods is putting SUPER insane numbers: she’s averaging 20 points on 60% from the field, with zero three point attempts. The super quick freshman is impossible to stay in front of, and when she get into the paint, her bag of finishes is deeeeep. Woods is also leading all freshmen in the state in assists with 6.2 per game.
Lillian “Lilly” Woodruff

I will keep telling people: Lilly Woodruff Lilly Woodruff 5’8″ | SG Sweetwater | 2027 State TN may be the best casual basketball player I’ve ever coached. She’s a stud softball player, and basketball is her secondary sport. For Sweetwater, she’s averaging 17.6 points and 11.6 rebounds while also running point guard. She’s incredibly competitive and fiesty, and thus, its no suprise to me that she’s putting up those rebounding numbers.
Woodruff is leading all freshman on MaxPreps in free throws made and free throws attempted. She’s 2nd in rebounding. 8th in scoring.

Carmicheal is another ’27 that certainly didn’t get enough respect in our rankings! She’s averaging 14 points, 8 rebounds, and nearly 4 steals. She’s had multiple double-doubles. She’s had 20+ point games. She’s playing way beyond her freshman stature.
Taylor recently earned her way into the starting lineup, and had a monster performance scoring wise for Knox-Webb: 7 made threes on her way to a career high. Taylor has long been known as one of the best 2027 scorers in the Knoxville area, and now she may be beginning to show it.
