<p><strong>Booker T. Washington</strong> (1-0) opened their season in 5A with a win over Bishop Kelley by a final score of 54-49. With two of the top juniors in the state, Baylor commit [player_tooltip player_id='309984' first='Marcayla' last='Johnson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='556048' first='Rhyian' last='Mayberry'], expect the Hornets to be right there near the top of class 5A at the end of the season.</p>

<p><strong>Broken Arrow</strong> (1-2) started their season on the road at a tournament in Willard, Missouri. The Tigers won their opening game 59-29 on Thursday before losing back to back games to Rock Bridge and Republic. Husker commit [player_tooltip player_id='309979' first='McKenzie' last='Mathurin'] had a 26 point double-double in the opening game.</p>

<p>The <strong>Merritt</strong> Oilers (2-0) won their second game of the season against No. 8-ranked Canute (5-2) behind some phenomenal three-point shooting by senior forward Chloe Stout who sunk nine shots from long range on Friday night for a final score of 74-41.</p>

<p>Uncommitted senior [player_tooltip player_id='630454' first='Pauline' last='Black-Harmon'] had a double-double in <strong>El Reno</strong>'s (1-0) opening game against Carl Albert (0-1) on Friday. Black-Harmon had 14 points and 12 boards to help lead her squad to a 63-50 opening night victory. </p>

<p>Freshman star [player_tooltip player_id='750894' first='Trinity' last='Boone'] had 24 points to help lead <strong>Casady</strong> (1-0) to an opening night win over Oklahoma Christian (0-1) by a final of 66-56.</p>

<p><strong>Tulsa Central</strong> (1-1) got their first win of the season over Daniel Webster (0-3) behind a massive performance from uncommitted senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='318199' first='Montay' last='Davis'] who had 35 points. Davis had 29 points in the previous game and is turning the Braves into absolutely "must-see" basketball.</p>

<p><strong>Madill</strong> (1-0) got their season off to a big start with an 81-32 win over Tishomingo (0-1). The Wildcats were led by two sophomores with [player_tooltip player_id='578032' first='E'Niyah' last='Holmes'] scoring 36 and Lamiyah Brown scoring 25.</p>
