Dear Lily Woodruff,
Please except our apology for leaving you off the 2027 rankings. We really blew it.
Sincerely,
Coach Dycus
Lilly Woodruff Lilly Woodruff 5’8″ | SG Sweetwater | 2027 TN is a straight killer as a freshman! In an overtime victory against Polk County, Woodruff finished with 27 points and 16 rebounds….as a guard. She’s their lead ball handler, leading scorer, rebounder, leads in assists, free throws, etc. Super fun to watch (and she’s even better at softball!).
The Maryville standout continues to battle despite a rough season for Maryville. Darnell had 28 points in a huge performance vs Fulton. Despite it coming in a loss, Darnell continues to shine a legit collegiate player.
The athletic 6-2 prodigy just continues to get better and better for the Lady Pioneers (15-1). She finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. When Story is playing with this level of dominance on both ends….and please understand that…when she’s rolling she’s a brilliant two-way player….it completely changes the trajectory of this team. Again, we really like following Story’s success in part because we’ve heard the stories of her work behind the scenes. She’s quickly turning into a top ’26.
Worth mentioning that Bradley Central traveled to one of the most competitive tournaments in the country, and suffered their first loss of the season to a powerhouse out of Georgia. Ware not only had a phenomenal weekend on the court (picking up all tournament honors), but also picked up a big time offer to Furman. Ware continues to pile up the offers.
Dee Williams
Dee Williams
We see you Dee Williams! In a huge performance, Williams led Fulton to a big win over Maryville as she went for 19 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. She not only owned the paint on both ends, but she also showed a nice passing acumen. The Dee Williams/ Maiya Moore Maiya Moore 5’4″ | SG Fulton | 2024 State TN combo can be really tough when they are rolling!
Kamryn Butcher
Kamryn Butcher
Watching Butcher get hot this weekend was fun stuff! The Kyndra West Kyndra West 5’6″ | PG Hardin Valley Academy | 2025 State TN /Kamryn Butcher backcourt is legit! Butcher had 23 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals, and knocked down five 3’s in a win over Maryville. Hardin Valley has been sneaky consistent all year long, and while West carries a big reputation, Butcher has kinda been quietly developing. If she can continue to prove to be a consistent scorer, she really changes the dynamics of this Hardin Valley squad.
York had a really nice game for Clinton as she poured in 20 points to go with five made 3’s this weekend. With Addi Gamble Addi Gamble 5’6″ | SG Clinton | 2026 State TN , and Lanee Carmichael Lanee Carmichael 5’10” | C Clinton | 2026 State TN , and York…this Clinton team really does have some nice pieces….and I can’t imagine anyone will be happy to draw Clinton in the post season.
In a huge rivalry game, Weddington poured in 22 points in a win over Morristown East. Weddington has continued to put together a consistently productive year, and has exceeded individual expectations. She’s a very good two player that has really taken a leap as a scorer.
Pennington is another “swing and a miss” by me in the ’27 rankings. I heard she was good…but I had no idea she was THIS GOOD! She’s been the best player on an upstart East Robertson team. On Friday, she had another huge performance dropping 23 points. Without a doubt, she’s a top ’27 and I rarely see her mentioned.
Highlights
I understand some people don’t like to celebrate offers….personally I do. I understand they aren’t binding….they are only symbolic….trust me, I get it.
But tell a 14 year old that just received an offer that it’s not a big deal! It should be celebrated!
So huge congrats to ’27 Payton Rollins Payton Rollins 5’8″ | PG South Doyle | 2027 TN for picking up a big time offer to Furman! Not only did she drop 18 points on Friday night, but she then picked up her 2nd D1 offer. If you know her, and you know how hard she works…..then you are celebrating for her! Well done young lady!
