Fuessel’s well rounded impact allows her to play with ball handlers, fairly dependable off the catch alongside her physical defense on drives. She embraces the fundamentals defensively, seeking box outs and consistently hustling into position to gain possession. Her play has added much needed depth to a program seeking a deep playoff run for 16-3 Valor Christian.
Highlights
Jones has been one of the state’s top players in this class, and in general. Already a dependable scoring threat in and out, her athletic advantage and notable skill has allowed her to be one of the most productive guards in the class. Jones adds a different layer to Mullen’s offensive arsenal, providing legitimate floor spacing abilities off the catch or while off-balance. Defensively, she has matched up well with a wide variety of positions, clearly a very high upside prospect who has a chance to make noise through her initial season with 14-6 Mullen.
Highlights
The refined three level scorer is already among the better shotmakers in the state regardless of class. Ralston Valley has found immediate benefits from her presence, for context Sabus already leads this program in points, rebounds, and steals through her initial season. Keep eyes on this guard throughout the playoffs, she has been nothing but stone cold this season.
Williams has added immense defensive value to a Monarch program, leading the 11-10 group in points, rebounds, and blocks. Possessing incredible hand eye coordination and a soft touch, the forward has been highly impactful not only swatting away shots, while mitigating potential drives. Her wide reach and mobility are not often to find among 6’+ prospects in the state, look for her presence to throw off opposing downhill or post scorers. We cannot forget that her offensive presence has created so many double teams, in turn open shots and driving lanes for teammates.
Moon has been dependable handling the ball, adding to this group’s wide array of perimeter playmakers. She can be a threat off the catch or attacking a closeout, handling pressure well. Decision making is a necessary skill among perimeter playmakers, Moon has the quick reactions necessary to be a stationary decision maker or while attacking downhill.
Moon is the second freshman guard already impacting Highlands Ranch out of the gates, providing consistent perimeter shooting out of the gates. Her active point of attack defense often mitigates driving lanes, pivotal forcing off-balance shots away from the rim.
Chang has been dependable handling the ball, often setting up the half court offense for Grandview. She brings a refined perimeter game, not only as a ball handler but as a shotmaker. Bringing in much needed backcourt depth to a potent interior scorer, this Grandview group still remains a difficult opponent in part from Chang’s steady production.
