Halftime score- Tied at 25
End of Third – Bradley 45 McMinn Central 33
Bradley dominated the 3rd quarter, and that was all she wrote. Bradley began getting runouts versus the press, and the two bigs were simply too much.
Bradley Central (23-1) 56
McMinn Central (21-3) 44
Proves again and again that she’s simply one of the best players in the state, regardless of class. I’m not sure there is a player with a faster release anywhere…if you blink she’s pulling….and it’s likely going in. She had 3 made threes’s, and did a nice job attacking closeouts, and when she gets into the paint, she’s starting to really get crafty with her finishes.
Karina Bystry finished with 17 points and 7 rebounds, against the best team in the state. Can we get a committee together and simply agree Bystry’s producation and level of play are right up there Miss Basketball candidates.

Stars in her role as a high end role player. Averages around 4 assists a game, knocks down open shots, and is an ELITE defender. She’s been around the Central press her whole life (her sister was really good a few year ago too), and she plays with a tenacity that’s been engrained in her.
Stovall was dominant in the first half, as McMinn Central just had no answer for her size and strength. Again….when you have a two-headed post monster with Stovall and Fields, you might have the personel to guard one of them, but how do you take them both away? Stovall had a double double in the first half.
Stovall finished the night with 19 rebounds and 6 block shots. It kinda gives you the feeling that Stovall has another gear she can get to when she wants.
Also, her 1 on 1 assignment was Molly Masingale Molly Masingale 5’9″ | SF McMinn Co. | 2024 State TN , and Stovall’s length and athletcism is simply a lot for any player…even one as good as Masingale. In a game in which Stovall only scored 10 points, she was dominant.
Highlights
If Stovall wasn’t eating, Fields was. She was just dominant, and finisehd with 24 points and 12 rebounds. The high low chemistry between Stovall and Fields is getting top notch. While both of them are “power” players, they also have the finesse to play a pretty hi/low game. I think the ceiling of Fields is still MUCH high than we are seeing now, as I believe her skill level is really on the rise.
Had some really nice minutes in the win over McMinn Central. Love Howard Love Howard 5’9″ | SG Bradley Central | 2025 State TN is devastating out in transition, and in a track meet like Central wants to play, Howard was perfectly suited for it. She got multiple easy buckets out in transition in the press break, had multiple deflections leading to transition oppurtunities. She did a great job making things happen in her role.

Malia Wilcox
Malia Wilcox
Wilcox played with poise handling the Central press, and was impressive running the show. Had multiple assists in the 3rd quarter run in which Bradley pulled away. Her perimeter defense on the high-end Central guard impacted the game tremendously.
