If you watched Knox Catholic vs Webb, you watched a treat. Knox Catholic won 44-39, and it was a great one! The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was fantastic, and this Webb teams thinks they can beat anyone (stay tuned).
In game like this, you really get to see what kids are made of, and I simply think Maggie Frana Maggie Frana 5’9″ | SF Knoxville Catholic | 2025 State TN is as competitive as any kid out there. Vs Webb, her fingerprints were all over the game, without having to even put up shot on the offensive kid. Kids take note: your role doesn’t haven’t be a big-time score to still have a big time role and impact.
Mains was superb. She finished with 19 points, hit multiple 3s at big moments. She also had 6 steals. She’s just a stud. I don’t write about her much….because frankly….she really doesn’t need me too. Sydney Mains Sydney Mains 5’11” | SF Knoxville Catholic | 2024 State TN has surpassed the 2,000 point mark in a career that also forced her to overcome adversity. By all accounts, she’s also simply a really wonderful young person. And she’s exceptional at playing basketball sport games.

Tinsley Walker Tinsley Walker State TN is another Knox Catholic kid that has truly bouth into being a star in their role. She basically plays the whole game, and is a really nice 3 and D kid that doesn’t need the ball in her hands to be effective. She’s always a threat as a shooter off the ball. Defensively, she gives gritty D and top-tier rebounding (she ended the night with 10! boards).
Alcoa lost to Maryville on Friday night in a bit of a surprise. There were some silver linings though for Alcoa. The Alcoa role players have been terrific as of late, and Maddy Stewart Maddy Stewart 5’10” | SF Alcoa | 2025 State TN was great once again. She finished with 15 points, 9 rebounds, and an assists in a near triple double.
Gwen Carrol was also terrific for Alcoa. She’s been rock solid in her role all season long, but she’s been showing flashes as of late that the ’26 is capable of a lot more. She finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds in her 2nd really nice outing in a row.

Big congrats to Kaelyn Flowers Kaelyn Flowers 5’6″ | PG Blackman | 2024 State TN . As a PG that doesn’t prioritize scoring, her surpassing the 1,000 mark is really a nice accomplishment. She’s a top tier PG that plays the game the right way. She’s as good a PG as their is in the state, and we wanted to say congrats kiddo: 1,000 career points is a milestone worth celebrating!
