<p>The IAAM returned to Stevenson University for the annual Championship day featuring the A, B and C conference title games. This year we were treated to three excellent games, two of which went down to the last possession. Indian Creek won their second straight C conference title with a 60-36 win over a tough Glenelg Country School after the game was tied at 24 at the half. In the B conference game, Gerstell Academy held off a late rally by John Carroll for a 41-39 victory. The A conference game was another classic as McDonogh hung on to beat St. Frances 54-53. Here are some of the standout performers from the day. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='616553' first='Grace' last='Marchetti'], John Carroll, 2025, Guard</strong>- Grace really brought a lot of energy and determination to this game. The Patriots struggled to score in this game, and she provided a spark on defense that led to some of their easier buckets. She finished with 9 points and seemed to come up with a big play whenever it looked like Gerstell was about the pull away. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='755090' first='Vivian' last='Carrico'], John Carroll, 2025, Guard</strong>- Vivian chipped in another 9 points, all on three pointers, including a big one late in the game. She was active on defense and was helpful in handling the defensive pressure applied by Gerstell. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='433960' first='Miley' last='Alguire'], Gerstell, 2026, Wing</strong>- Miley was all over the place, making plays on both ends of the court. The athletic guard/wing finished with 8 points and three steals. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='332125' first='Anahita' last='Jackson'], Gerstell, 2024, Guard</strong>- Annie dropped a game high 14 points which was crucial in helping the Falcons build a double figure lead which they never relinquished. She played a solid game, kept her composure and led the way. </p>

<p><strong>Eniyah Stinnette, Gerstell, 2024, Power Forward</strong>- Eniyah battled in the paint the whole game and scored the game winning basket. She closed the game out with a big defensive play on John Carroll's last attempt to tie the game. She finished with 7 points. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='788072' first='Kayden' last='McDaniel'], Glenelg Country School, 2027, Guard</strong>- The high scoring freshman guard scored 14 points, all in the first half and helped her team keep the game tied. In the second half Indian Creek was able to lock her down with a box and one and some other defensive looks. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='943366' first='Ofundem' last='Mbelem'], Indian Creek, 2027, Cente</strong>r- 19 points and 19 rebounds will get you noticed every single time. This was a dominant paint performance on both ends of the court when her team needed it most. Glenelg Country had no answer for her size and ability to score in the paint. She was the game's Co-MVP. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='943369' first='Stephanie' last='Bunker'], Indian Creek, 2027- Forward</strong>- Stepanie put up an incredible 19 points and 17 rebounds and took home the MVP award that she shared with her teammate, Ofundem. She was all over the court making plays and providing interior defense and rebounding. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='332124' first='Amora' last='Alston'], St. Frances Academy, 2025, Guard</strong>- Amora scored 20 points and had five three pointers while playing stellar on ball defense for most of the game. She kept her teammates engaged and helped them rally multiple times. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='433873' first='Autumn' last='Fleary'], McDonogh, 2026, Guard</strong>- Autumn scored a game high 27 points and made a bunch of big plays when needed most. She showed off her range from deep and got into the paint against St. Frances' tough defense, which created open shots for her teammates. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='238813' first='Kennedy' last='Umeh'], McDonogh, 2024, Center</strong>- The senior Stanford recruit chipped in a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. She provided her usual physical play around the basket before fouling out in the final seconds of the game. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='433861' first='Monet' last='Edwards'], St. Frances, 2026, Guard</strong>- Monet scored 13 points and kept the pressure on McDonogh's defense by constantly attacking the paint and drawing fouls. She also provided secondary ball handling and good pressure defense. </p>
