<p>Northwood Academy continued its winning streak today with a win over Cardinal Newman. The Lady Chargers the winners of 18 games in a row improved to (25-2) on the season. Senior <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='171805' first='Alayah' last='Birch']</strong> led the way with 30 points today. Birch was able to showcase her ability to rebound the ball and always make herself available to make a play on both ends of the court. Birch currently right at 1,701 career points after last night while missing all of her junior season. </p>

<p>Senior guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='243455' first='Virginia' last='Byrd'] </strong>had a strong showing scoring 18 points tonight. Byrd connected on 4 three-pointers from downtown. The Lady Chargers jumped out to a big halftime lead at 38-12 tonight. </p>

Draughn and the Lady Cardinals will look to regroup for the future. Draughn is a quick guard in transition and really looks to excels in the open floor a times. Freshman post player <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='429820' first='Zaria' last='Thompson']</strong> finished with 7 points in the loss. </p>

<p>Heathwood Hall led just 22-15 over the Lady Cyclones at the halftime break. The Lady Highlanders eventually would pull away in the 2nd half and cruise to a victory. Junior guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='185040' first='Lauren' last='Jacobs']</strong> came into the contest averaging 31.5 ppg this season. Lauren would finish with 27 points today in the win. Jacobs does a great job of getting the ball into the paint and attacking the gaps. She excels in the open court and really pushing the tempo. Teammates <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='185041' first='Camillea' last='Gore']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='216959' first='Sabreya' last='Monsanto']</strong> finished with 9 and 8 points respectively. </p>

<p>The First Baptist Lady Hurricanes really stifled Trinity Collegiate all night long tonight. The Lady Hurricanes will advance to the semifinals to play Heathwood Hall after defeating the Lady Titans tonight 40-22. Limestone signee guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='255966' first='Yannah' last='Seaberry']</strong> led the way with 13 points while sophomore forward <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='451803' first='Ava' last='Rush']</strong> added 12 points in the win. Seaberry was able to connect on some perimeter jumpers here tonight while Rush was constant playing active on both ends of the court. Ava can stretch the defense with her mobility and ability to play out on the perimeter. </p>

Suddeth and the Lady Eagles will play Hilton Head Christian in the next round of the playoffs. Cokey continues to showcase her game with her ability to play inside-out on the floor. </p>
