Jaeden Pratt Jaeden Pratt 5’10” | CG Ankeny Centennial | 2025 State IA put together a Junior Season that she should be proud of at Ankeny Centennial. She left it all out on the floor each evening and she never settled for anything but being her best when she went out to compete. This AAU season I’m excited to see how she can build on that. Pratt would be considered a Combo Guard for all intents and purposes. She has length, athleticism, and skill to be able to move between the 2, 3, and 4 positions on the hardwood. Over the past three seasons, she has demonstrated that every off-season she is working relentlessly to become a better prospect. So that when her high school career comes to a close, she can look back and say that she left it all out on the floor. Her ability on the offensive side of the ball is impressive to say the least and she works really hard on defense. After her high school career does end, she will be taking her talents to Illinois State so that she can continue on her basketball journey as a Redbird but we still have some time before that becomes a reality so for right now, she is going to take over out #5 spot in this 2025 Player Rankings Update moving into the Spring AAU season.
Journey Houston Journey Houston 5’11” | CG Davenport North | 2025 State IA will lace up her kicks with the Iowa Hawkeyes for her collegiate career but before that, she is looking to return from injury in tip-top shape. Houston is a talented Combo Guard/Small Forward, who can be moved around on the floor, depending on what her offense is asking of her. With her natural height of 5’10, in college she will not be a post player by any means but she does have the ability to move a smaller defender into the painted area, if the opportunity presents itself. She has the knowledge of the game to know when it’s best to attack her defender or to rotate the ball for a better look. When it comes to defense, she is disciplined. She stays down on pump fakes and does a great job of making her presence felt with a well-timed bump or two, demonstrating that she isn’t afraid to mix it up with any bigger opponents. Half way throughout this high school season, Houston suffered an injury that sidelined her for the rest of this year. Hopefully she can turn a corner and come back even stronger. She is the definition of a competitor so I would expect nothing less. This off-time has given her a little mental break but I’m sure that she is itching to get back on the court this Summer. As for now, she will take our #4 spot in this Update.

Dowling Catholic may not have won a State Title this winter but that didn’t stop Ava Zediker Ava Zediker 5’10” | PG Dowling Catholic | 2025 State IA from doing her thing. Zediker, as I’ve referred to before, is the best natural PG in the state of Iowa, regardless of age level or Class. She understands what it means to lead by example while always doing what is best for the teammates around her. This Winter Zediker did more of the usual. She got everyone in the correct positions, she controlled the tempo of the game, her team’s offense ran through her, and in the end she helped her team win a lot of games because of it. This is the type of talent/prospect that I’m expecting to get onto a collegiate floor, making an impact almost instantly. She is that good. She doesn’t make forced errors and whenever she finds herself open on rotation for a shot, she usually knocks it down as a swish. Doesn’t matter how far away she is from the basket. If it’s a clean look, it’s probably going in the hoop. In the end, no one is perfect and we always have room to grow so I’m interested to see how much better Zediker can before before college. If she works on the correct things and continues to be consistent, she is going to be someone we hear about for the foreseeable future on the court.
Amani Jenkins Amani Jenkins 6’2″ | C Johnston | 2025 State IA is coming off of a 5A State Title with the Johnston Dragons and she is looking to make a major impact with her new ETG Midwest Elite 3ssb team out of Nebraska. Jenkins is a handful in the middle of the lane and an overall aggressive competitor. You can tell that she plays with a chip on her shoulder, while never giving up space underneath the hoop on either side of the basketball. She is a prospect that can get her own in a plethora of different ways once the ball is thrown to her offensively, while she alters opponents shots on almost every other attempt on the defensive side of things. I’ve seen Jenkins progress over these past three years and I know she is going to be someone that can step up in college and make a difference. She has size, balance, coordination, and she is passionate. When you combined all those, you usually get a player with a recipe for success but it’s not going to be that easy. To attend a college like Marquette is an honor. If she wants to come out and see the floor right away, she is going to have to earn it. That program has always had a great post presence and I’m sure that’s not going to slow down anytime soon. As for now though, Jenkins will continue to hold our #2 spot in this 2025 Class moving into the Spring season.

What can I say about Divine Bourrage Divine Bourrage 6’0″ | CG Davenport North | 2025 State IA and her game that I haven’t already? Bourrage is one of the highest rated recruits the State of Iowa has ever seen but she isn’t going to be satisfied with just that. She is the type of prospect that is going to continue to work until she can’t anymore. The best way to describe Bourrage’s mindset is relentless. She wants to be the best, plain and simple. She will do anything it takes to get there. As of right now, it seems to be working. She is sitting with 36 high-end Power-5 offers and that list will continue to grow until she makes her college decision within this next year. As it pertains to her actual play-style, she can do it all at 6’0. She is a smooth operator with the ball in her hands with the ability to score or distribute almost any times she wants. She can shoot the ball from 5-7 feet behind the three point line consistently. She can get to any spot she wants to on the floor and not to mention, she EATS on defense. Her mixture of quick feet, hands, and knowledge of where her opponent is going to go with the ball is second-to-none, usually leading to a bunch of steals and transition layups for her squad. At the end of the day, I’m not sure where she will end up for her collegiate years but wherever it is, they are getting a program changing talent. That’s for sure and that’s why Bourrage continues to hold our #1 Ranking in this 2025 Update.
