The small town guard was a handful in a Sunday morning victory for her squad. Payne showed quality body control on drives to be a good finisher, while also mixing in pull ups jumpers. And even a catch and shoot three. She showed some clutch potential with a drive late in the game that tied up the contest.

An active guard on both ends of the court, Hammontree thrived in the more up tempo nature that often comes with Grassroots ball. She feasted in transition, sometimes even being the one to deflect a pass. Or apply the on the ball pressure that created the transition opportunities. In a Saturday afternoon viewing, she was particularly impactful in the second half. Even hitting from distance and made a great read in the halfcourt on a pass to a cutting teammate.

A key part of her talented team, Overstreet picked her spots to make an efficient impact on both ends of the court. She has a good pull up jumper, and reads the game well on the defensive end. Cole shot the cover off the ball on Sunday morning. Was a big time threat as a catch and shoot specialist. But her impact wasn’t limited to just being a sniper. She showed a great knack as a half court trapper, combining an understanding of defensive positioning with the strength to force turnovers once the trap was executed. Have to love the combination of shooting and grit.
Highlights
Cagle showed the small town toughness with some of her contested rebounding and crashing the glass on the offensive end. Along with her activity level when rebounding, she also stepped out and knocked down a couple three pointers. It was good to get a small town local prospect on the radar for going forward.
Highlights
A strong wing prospect, Gomez took and finished through contact very well on Sunday morning. She doesn’t let the defense bother her as she plays at own pace, with a sneaky way of slipping through gaps on drives. Along with her toughness off the dribble, she did not knock down a catch and shoot three as well.
