In a Saturday victory, Braxton was automatic around the rim. She was the beneficiary of good chemistry with the talented guards of Rebel Elite . But it was more than just bunnies around the rim. The physical 2025 forward carved out space for post ups, positioning for offensive rebounds. Even showing soft touch on a 8 footer when she got the shooter’s roll. Her size can’t be taught and as the daughter of a former Oklahoma Sooner offensive lineman, she has promise with power and low post footwork.

Crook has a big time wingspan and put that to good use contesting shots on defense. While also having some promise on the offensive with post up scores, finishing and better lateral movement than first expected. She even showed good coordination at one point to switch from a shot to a pass to an open teammate. There’s still raw aspects to her game, but a good foundation is there for her to continue to mature into even more of a two-way impact player.

Heiskell made progress throughout the day on Saturday. She can do some damage as a post up threat on offense. And has the willingness to fight for position on defense, leading to deflections on post entry passes. Along with the strength and frame to hold her own when posted up on. In the second contest on Saturday, she also got more aggressive with the way she grabbed contested rebounds. Continuing to play with an aggressive attitude could further unlock her game.

The freshman did not look out of place playing against older competition, because she has a non stop motor. Carbajal always seemed to run the floor hard. Being one of the best examples of working hard to make scoring look easy. She also has a soft touch around the rim. It didn’t stop with her running of the floor, she was also all over the glass. Either grabbing the rebounds or tipping them out. Often those tip outs would end with her being the one to run down and secure the ball. Add in a good understanding of verticality principles and the future is very bright for Carbajal and her infectious energy.
Another freshman playing 17U and she wasn’t afraid to get her nose dirty either. To close out a physical contest, she was tough as nails around the rim defensive. Swatting and contesting shots all over the place in a victory for her 24MD Team Daum squad. On the offensive end she kept it simple with some finishes around the rim, but with a key understanding of the importance of keeping the ball high. With her combination and mentality in the Saturday victory, Sarvey looks set up to continue to improve as a prospect.
The anchor in the middle for a Dynasty team that went 4-0 on the weekend. Good height and wingspan, which she puts to use as an aggressive rebounder on both ends of the court. Especially with the way she tracks the ball and is willing to fight for rebounds out of her area. Bootsma also had some good moments with setting effective, heavy screens. Her scoring output was quiet in the one game viewed, but showed good touch on a 10 footer in that game.
