Michigan’s top travel programs attended the event, which led to exciting matchups and impressive prospects on the court! One of my favorite aspects of AAU is seeing prospects who were hidden during the high school season, finally able to showcase their talent against their recruiting class. Here are a few 2025 top performers from Sunday, led by Indiana’s dominant Always 100 Elite 2025 3SSB.
Addison Baxter Addison Baxter 5’9″ | PG Columbia City | 2025 State IN led the charge for Always 100 2025 Elite 3SSB at Battle in the Mitten on Sunday. She dominated in all areas of the game by handling the ball effectively, driving the ball strong through contact and finishing at the rim, blocking shots, and deflecting passes. Addison split the defense off of a handoff and finished with her left at the rim. She knocked down free throws and showed the explosive athleticism, strength, poise, leaping ability, and complete game you would expect from a D1 guard. She is an exceptional prospect who is 100% committed to Butler.
Highlights
Addison Bowsman Addison Bowsman 5’7″ | PG Twin Lakes | 2025 State IN was an impressive PG for Always 100 2025 3SSB Sunday at Battle in the Mitten. She stole the ball and raced past the defense in transition to convert a face up finish at the rim with a defender on her back. Addison knocked down multiple 3’s off the catch from different spots and used a spin dribble to draw a foul drivin to the basket. She sees the floor and uses strong passes with different deliveries to create assists and stripped the ball away on defense to cause a turnover in the paint. Addison was one of the most impressive court generals of her class on Sunday (MOI Pharmacy).
Lindsee Williams dominated inside for Always 100 Elite 3SSB at the Battle in the Mitten on Sunday. She was a rebounding machine using her size and strength to gain the advantage for put backs in the paint. Lindsee blocked multiple shots inside and sealed with excellent positioning to catch entry passes from her guards. She knocked down a shot from the elbow with a balanced high release and is an outstanding power forward prospect for coaches to recruit at the next level.
Reece Derose started the travel season with a very impressive first game for Capitol City Express 2025. She beat her defender off the dribble and stopped on a dime to hit a mid-range jumper, finished a layup full speed in transition, and made a strong overhead pass to hit her teammate in stride for an assist. Reece threaded a bounce pass through defenders, split two defenders to draw a foul at the rim, and knocked down free throws when she got to the charity stripe. Reece is a talented PG coaches should make time to watch this spring (MOI Undecided).
Abby Brannon
Abby Brannon
Abby Brannon caught my attention with her effective play on both ends for Michigan Drive Express E40 Cool at Battle in the Mitten Sunday. She drove downhill through defenders and scored on an aggressive take and strong left-handed finish. Abby drilled multiple 3’s off the catch and is a guard playing up who I am eager to watch more of this spring.
Abbie Lautzenheiser
Abbie Lautzenheiser
Abbie Lautzenheiser made had a big impact for Michigan Drive Express at Battle in the Mitten on Sunday. She is a long and athletic wing who skied up for a rebound and finished strong off two feet in the paint through a foul, then knocked down her free throw. Abbie scored multiple put backs by outworking her opponents for position inside and plays with an aggressive tenacity diving on the floor for the ball. She is a prospect who will do what needs to be done to help the team succeed and is a prospect I am excited to see more of this spring. (MOI Undecided)
Natalie Trammel Natalie Trammel 5’5″ | SG Hartland | 2025 State MI is a strong and physical guard who made some effective plays for Mystics Regional 2025 at Battle in the Mitten Sunday. She read her defender off the ball to make a backdoor cut and then finished with her left at the rim. Natalie tied up a ball handler with her pressure and has the strength and athleticism to match up with forwards and guards defensively (MOI Physical Therapy).
