Grassroots Preview: Team Trae Young 15U 3SSB

The intense level of competition that was seen throughout Oklahoma during the high school season has translated seamlessly to another competitive start on the grassroots realm.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This includes [program_tooltip program_id='712993' first='Team' last='Trae Young'] 15U 3SSB. As its namesake suggests, the team competes on the Adidas circuit. The team is coached by Josh Atkinson and recently took part in 3SSB Session 1.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As one would expect, the bulk of the talent on the roster does hail from Oklahoma – but it also has a representative from the neighboring state of Arkansas. She averaged 10.1 points, 3.1 assists and 2.8 steals per game for a Warriors team that advanced to the 4A state semifinals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='899626' first='Graci' last='Atkinson']</strong> – Atkinson stands at 5-foot-8, says the [program_tooltip program_id='712993' first='Team' last='Trae Young'] 15U 3SSB roster. She is also the only representative from Lincoln Christian HS listed on this year's travel team roster. Atkinson mostly plays at the two. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='881182' first='Tyson' last='Woolsey']</strong> – Woolsey gives Broken Bow HS a presence on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='712993' first='Team' last='Trae Young'] 15U 3SSB roster. Last season, the Rams finished with a 23-6 record along with a 12-3 district mark and a berth in the 6A state semifinals. She competed in 20 games in 2023-24 for an Idabel team that won a state championship. Cauthron, who also plays softball, averaged 18.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and four steals in 20 games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='899951' first='Juliana' last='Davenport']</strong> – Davenport is the lone participant on this year's [program_tooltip program_id='712993' first='Team' last='Trae Young'] 3SSB roster that is playing up in class. That season would see the Chieftans finish with a 23-7 record while going 14-1 in its district – and earning a berth in the 5A state championship game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Myah Haney</strong> – Haney is the lone representative on the [program_tooltip program_id='712993' first='Team' last='Trae Young'] 3SSB 15U roster from the state of Arkansas. She stands at 5-foot-8. She primarily plays at the four for a Har-Ber team that concluded the 2023-24 season with a record of 14-9 along with qualifying for the 6A state playoffs. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
