Kiana Sumblin is a player I have heard a lot about recently and for good reason. She is a great athlete and lightning-quick. She is hard to stop when she attacks the rim and fantastic in transition. Kiana is excellent on both ends of the court and has nonstop energy. She will be attending PVI, and she will fit perfectly with their culture whenever she gets her minutes.

Natalee Bowling
I talked about Natalee Bowling’s potential when I broke down VA Impact a few weeks back. She’s playing a few years up on VA Impact , and people should check her out during this AAU period. She has incredible length for someone not even in High School yet, and dominates games. She is a great interior defender; she is a good finisher, and an outstanding rebounder. Natalee is a name you will hear not only in Roanoke but around the whole state.
Kelsey Harper played JV this past season for Northside and had a great year. She has great hands defensively and gets a lot of steals. She is also good in transition, where she gets many points from the turnovers she forces. She is a good finisher and a good passer. Kelsey looked like the best player on the court whenever she played before she even entered high school.

Lauryn Loritts is a blue-chip talent playing for Nansemond River. She was a scoring machine on JV this year and dominated players older than her. She had a couple of 40-point games this year and was unstoppable. Lauryn is an elite driver and finishes the ball at a high level. She is a good athlete and has great size for someone not even in high school yet. Lauryn is one of the best talents in the state and a player to look out for in the 2028 class.
Kennedi Young is a player who argues for being the best player in the 2028 class in Virginia. Everything Kennedi does starts with her suffocating defense. Kennedi does a great job forcing turnovers with her length and anticipation. She gets easy buckets in transition from the turnovers she forces. She has a lovely jumper and gets many buckets using her mid-range. Kennedi’s game keeps improving, and I’m sure she will enter high school as a better player than she is today.
