I’ll split this one up with the players from Texas on one article and players I caught from outside of Texas on another, plus there were plenty of Stock Risers, like Vivian Franklin Vivian Franklin 5'8" | SG Greenhill School | 2025 State TX Texas Elite 17U S40 Ultraboost, so that’s coming too
Dasia Hyams

Hyams created plenty of buzz not only on the court but from the coaches area as several asked me if I knew anything about her and I said “yes, she keeps elevating her game” and what she did in this setting has punched her ticket to the next Top 100 + update. Off the dribble she was hard to handle as her first step and body control was helped set everything up for her to score yet her pull-up jumper was also effective

Tobin is another player who will be added to the Top 100 + as I’ve enjoyed watching her “on the court progression” over the years. She’s heady, stays under control and can get hers “in the flow” yet don’t blink as she can simply take over by either attacking off the dribble or dropping the jumper, ala “catch and shoot” from mid to long-range with a hand in her face
Vann comes from a long line of talented siblings and when you factor in she’s 6’3 as well as “long and athletic” which is the base, her intangibles start to separate her from others. She went AFTA the ball relentlessly off the rim, yet her powerful finishes around the rim, after contact, were very nice. She also did a good jib defending, in and outside the paint and showed good timing
Woldai is a player that I already know what I’m going to get every chance I get to see her because she’s falls into that “never takes a place off” on both ends group and she can change the momentum of a game from either end. Her explosiveness coupled with court vision in transition is among the best in Texas as she can “threes the needle” from 20 feet going full speed yet watching her attack and finish after contact, at times acrobatically had me smiling. Her “on the ball” defense is also among the best from guards in the state
Highlights
Johnson kept me intrigued from a far and although I may not have 20/20 anymore, didn’t need because she opened my eyes and sight by overpowering defenders, not only ff the dribble to score but inside the paint around the basket, putbacks included. She also showed the “stop and pop” jumper in transition and also played the passing lane
