Jai’lun Brimmer is very quick handling the ball, and her ability to shift from one foot to another at full speed makes it difficult for opponents to keep up with her. She gets to the rim easily sneaking behind defenders whether she got there off her handles or is scoring off the pass. Her jab step is sure to create some space for her to pull up for a jumper knocking it down from all over the court, and she does a nice job whipping passes into her teammates on the block helping them score some points.
LaTayshia Andrews does a nice job reading the floor knowing how to make adjustments to score some points. She can attack the basket getting all the way to the rim, and she can also make some floaters elevating up and over her opponents. Her ability to knock down shots from deep makes her a multilevel scorer, and she’ll even do the work without the ball making sure to find the openings.
Demya Phifer is an absolute energy trend setter for whatever team she plays on. As a back-to-back state champion with West Rowan, she certainly set the standard for how to have a high motor and keep up the energy the entire game. She attacks the basket off the dribble, and she knows how to push the tempo finding her open teammates up the court. Her athleticism shows up on the other end being able to jump in front of passing lanes and keep up with opponents blocking shots on their way to the hoop.
Re’ale Walton was the South Piedmont 3A Conference Player of the Year. Her consistency throughout her high school career certainly sets her apart from others, and she remains composed in every game no matter what the score is looking like. Her court vision is fun to watch as she can handle the ball getting to the openings herself, or she moves the defense in order to make the best pass into her teammates. She can anticipate what her opponents are going to do stripping the ball away from them and exploding to the other end of the court for some points.
