In this article I highlight those five players, while briefly talking about their success throughout their contests.
Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!
There isn’t enough good things I could say about Kennedy Lane and her production this weekend at this event. Lane was one of the most complete guards I had a chance to evaluate, while being a lights out shooter from deep. The way that Lane competes is impressive. She can catch and shoot from deep past the three point line, catching fire in a hurry. She can take her defender off of the dribble if they happen to overplay her shooting ability and she is a willing passer when things open up around her. The other big thing that stands out about Lane’s game is her footwork. She is very good with her footwork on the catch, whenever she is looking to shoot. She understands how to replace a step, flare past a screen, or just step 1-2 into her shot. When it comes to shooting, she embodies what it means to be a Shooting Guard in my opinion. As a whole, very good weekend overall.
Prior to seeing Kennedy Lane compete this past three day’s, I would have told you that my favorite guard is Marycait Mackie Marycait Mackie 5’6″ | SG Loyola Academy | 2026 State IL of All in Athletics 2026 3SSB. Mackie is the type of Point Guard that all coaches love to have in their lineup. She has a fundamental but crafty dribble, she understands situational basketball more than most at this age, she is always communicating to her teammates or listening to her coach, and she is a game changer on the defensive side of the ball. In multiple contests I watched Mackie dive on the floor or into the stands for a loose ball, showing what she is really bout. Another thing that I love about her game is that she stands out without scoring the ball but in basically every other way. Don’t get me wrong, she can score but she usually isn’t going to be the one to put 30 on you. Instead, she will have 15 Points, 2 or 3 Rebounds, 7-9 Assists, and 1-2 Steals. This was a good start to her AAU season, hopefully she can build on this momentum moving forward.

Some may be surprised by this one but there is no mistake. Amelia Fernandez Amelia Fernandez 5’7″ | PG Maine South | 2026 IL of Full Package 2026 3SSB was a constant this weekend in almost every facet of the game for her team. Fernandez has the ability to move between the 1 or the 2 spot within any given line up. She is a Guard with lengthy arms and a lot of raw skill. What impressed me the most about her play this weekend is that whenever her team needed a big bucket or assist, she made it happen at high rate, especially in the closing moments of some of her games. She has an act for being in the right place at the right time and she ALWAYS has her eyes up coming down the floor. Doesn’t matter if it’s in transition or the half court. If there is a teammates of hers that breaks free, she is sure to find them with a crafty pass. This team is full of prospects that could put together really nice careers on the basketball court. They just need to stay in love with the process and they are going to be just fine.

On Saturday afternoon I stopped by to see EBA Ice 2026 compete and the prospect that stood out to me the most was Point Guard, Delia Sullivan Delia Sullivan 5’7″ | CG Mother McAuley | 2026 State IL . Sullivan is a complete Guard with the ball in her hands, rarely making mistakes whenever she has it coming down the floor. She displays a solid handle, a quick first step off of a dribble move, the ability to score from all three levels over some tough defenders, and the willingness and ability to make some impressive passes once she gets into the middle of the lane. If there is ever a time that she is pressed, she doesn’t let it get to her but instead she tries to find ways around that pressure into looks on the other side. This is one of those prospects where I didn’t see too many holes in her game. She showed out as a really complete prospect this weekend by keeping it simple and that’s all you can ask for in the grand scheme of things.

You can tell that Kaitlin Totaro Kaitlin Totaro 6’0″ | SF DePaul College Prep | 2026 IL of All in Athletics 2026 3SSB is someone that is still growing into her size, while figuring out her skill-set. In my eyes, Totaro is someone that could grow into something special. She has really nice size with lengthy arms, she has the ability to score from all three levels offensively at a higher rate then most at this level, and she can create a lot of havoc on the defensive side of the ball with her knowledge of when to go for a steal compared to sitting back. I had the chance to see Totaro compete twice this weekend and in both contests, she did a little bit of everything you could think of. This is one of those prospects that you put a question mark next to their name because their possibilities at this point are endless if they continue to work hard.
