A First Look At The Classic

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This past weekend marked the second "live" period of the Spring for women's basketball prospects, as teams traveled all across the country to be evaluated by college coaches of all levels. I spent my weekend in Louisville, Kentucky, at The Classic, an annual event put on by Ohio Basketball. This is the finale of a few follow-up articles from last weekend, with this one focusing on eight ladies I was able to see for the first time in-person. She is an athletic guard, she plays with nice versatility, and she can defend a little. I like her more off the ball as a shooter/scorer, but she does have a solid handle and can initiate the offense when necessary. She does have some skill around the perimeter, however. She pushes it fairly well in transition, she can even initiate the offense and knock down a shot, but she also likes to flash to the mid-post and use her strong frame to gain an advantage against her peers. Taylee is a little taller, longer, but a similar athlete. She runs and jumps well, does a great job of attacking in transition, and she simply makes athletic plays other girls just can't. She is a bigger guard/wing, and she's able to defend three positions because of it. She has an athletic frame, some wiry strength, and really nice length. She has the size to play physically inside and in the mid-post effectively, but she is also athletic enough to eventually find herself as a face-up '4' or possibly a '3' at some point as her skill comes along. She is a really nice athlete, she has a wiry-strong frame, and she plays with a nice versatility to her game. She can handle it a little in transition, even initiate the offense. Off the ball, she can knock down an open rhythm jumper, but she's best attacking the basket and finishing at the rim. She has really nice length and a wiry frame, she is a fairly fluid athlete, and she has a nice mid-post skillset. She has nice length, speed u0026amp; quickness, and she plays with a motor. She also looks like she's going to grow another few inches, so if she can approach 5-6 or 5-7, I think she could be highly effective. She can handle the ball, create for herself and others, and she can knock down an open rhythm jumper. She already has nice size at 5-9, she's a smooth and fluid athlete, and she is an absolute playmaker. She can get by defenders with ease, find open teammates, or finish around the basket herself. She is a really nice athlete in transition as well, and she's a versatile defender.
