Effective attacking closeouts and facilitating the halfcourt offense against pressure, Flowers has been excellent within her role for GRIT . She brings a high motor each and every possession, always a threat to crash the offensive glass for second chance opportunities. Her wide reach allows Flowers to defend 2s and 3s with ease, not an ideal matchup for opponents. Alongside her intangibles, she showed capabilities for this group, taking advantage of their array of offensive options.
Highlights
Melis consistently looked to initiate at the rim, looking to draw contact on drives at the rim. She was constantly getting into the thick of it for rebounds, not fazed by multiple opponents already anchored in the paint.
Highlights
Williams brings a very high motor, notably productive through her previous season at Adams City, although undersized for her role in the paint. Active crashing the glass, she is constantly active versus box outs, never content with her position. On the offensive end, she was prevalent attacking closeouts along the perimeter, quick to rip and drive.
Highlights
Deem is a versatile forward given her ability to slide into the paint or switch out onto the perimeter when necessary. She reaffirmed herself as a threat from spot-up jumpers along the mid-range, certainly not an opponent worth leaving open along the corner or elbows. Defensively, she provided consistent pressure against drivers going at the rim. Disciplined contesting shots, she brings active hands at the point of attack. She goes up with both arms up to contest shots, altering many attempts on the weekend.
Highlights
A formidable offensive weapon at her height, Eschmeyer showcased her consistent jumper off the catch or from pull-up opportunities. Effective dribbling into jumpers from the mid-range, her high release point is about as impossible to contain as anything on the court. Defensively, she remains a constant threat to swat away the ball or at the least alter shot attempts. She brings one of the most versatile skill sets among combo forwards in the state, especially so for her height advantage.
Gilpatrick’s wide reach and shooting ability off the catch makes her one of the most intriguing forwards in the 2026 class. She was among the more consistent three point shooters off the catch for this Hoopsters group, active on corner threes. Defensively, Gilpatrick’s wide reach lets her alter the passing lanes or guard down versus opposing backcourt scorers. Broomfield brings in plenty of size and skill among their forwards next season, certainly one of the most intriguing programs for next season.
Highlights
Walker provided plenty of GRIT and physicality to an already very tall group, bringing in plenty of options to anchor the glass. A strong defender who held her own versus multiple positions, she was not pushed around easily. Walker did well asserting herself in the driving lanes, active flowing off of cuts or attacking closeouts to put pressure on the rim.
