The 2026 class in Michigan is loaded with talent and some of the best prospects went head-to-head at the tournament on Saturday. Here are the 2026 performers I saw dominate the day to earn high marks for their play.
Abby Sietsema Abby Sietsema 6’0″ | PF Forest Hills Northern | 2026 State MI dominated for MBA GUAA 2026 in all phases at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. She caused havoc for defenses by facing up to attack off the dribble and score with both hands at the rim, but was equally dangerous shooting from beyond the arc. Abby finished full speed off one and two feet effectively and powered her way through a foul to score in the paint. She showed skilled footwork to score with an up and under move and fired an accurate baseline pass off a drive. Abby spotted up to drill multiple 3’s up top and proved why she is a top wing prospect in the state.

Sheridan Beal Sheridan Beal 5’9″ | SG West Bloomfield | 2026 State MI impressed with her shooting efficiency and smooth ball handling for Michigan Storm UAA 2026 at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. She shifted gears and created space with a crossover step back corner 3 and used a low rip move to sink a high-arcing deep corner 2 off the dribble. Sheridan pursued offensive rebounds and elevated off two to convert put backs in the paint. She has the poise to attack defenders hard on drives, but then dribble out to create space for a mid range jumper. Sheridan dribbled into a pull-up jumper off a screen and had a phenomenal tournament on Saturday.
Tanner Schramm Tanner Schramm 5’10” | SF Goodrich | 2026 State MI worked hard on both ends to make impact plays for Michigan Storm UAA 2026 at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. Her most athletic play that grabbed my attention happened when she drove hard into a moving defenders chest, elevated up, and hovered in the air to make a contested floater. Tanner scored on a clean fake pass left-handed layup in transition, powered up off two to finish inside, and drilled a corner 3. She is extremely competitive and hit the deck for a loose ball.

Cece Bonner Cece Bonner 5’6″ | PG Muskegon | 2026 State MI had an absolutely dominant tournament for MBA GUAA 2026 at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. Her speed, strength, and ball handling precision give her an advantage against any guard who tries to defend her one on one. She stripped the ball away from a forward in the low post and blew by the defense on a hard drive then scored through the foul. Cece took her defender off the dribble then elevated to hit a floater in the paint and used a variety of dribble moves including a high pick up on her drives. Cece attacked her defender off the dribble, paused with a hesi, then pushed the ball out to create space on her way to scoring a layup. She demonstrated the athleticism and skills that make her one of Michigan’s best guards.

Sophia Prins Sophia Prins 5’6″ | PG South Christian | 2026 State MI (MBA GUAA 2026) won individual battles with top guards in her class and proved at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic why she belongs in the elite CG discussion. She was one of the most efficient 3 point shooters on the day, hitting many triples from spots all over the court. Sophia uses her tight handles to create scoring looks for herself and teammates, kicking out the ball for assists on drives. She dished a strong two handed pass for an assist in transition. Sophia has the burst, balance, shooting, vision, off-ball awareness, and handles that make her an outstanding guard prospect.
Sadie Dykstra Sadie Dykstra 6’0″ | SF Yale | 2026 State MI was in the zone for Mystics 2026-P24 at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic. She went on a scoring tear for her team where nobody was going to keep her from putting the ball through the rim. Sadie attacked downhill into a jump stop and then used quality pivots to make a contested jumper. She pivoted again in the paint to hit a jump hook over her defender and motored through the lane for a layup. Sadie attacked with a determined drive into her defender’s chest then drilled a controlled jumper. When Sadie utilizes her length, attack dribbles, and footwork on drives she takes over games.
