In this 2027 Player Rankings Update, we have some ballers. In this specific article we highlight the prospects that were placed in the 6-10 spots in this Update. Each player listed was a big time producer for their Varsity squad last season and I can't wait to see how they build on that moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='644558' first='Daya' last='Phillips'] has put together an interesting AAU Spring season up until this point and I have a feeling that moving forward, she is going to try to switch some things up. Phillips is a sensational guard, that can help her team out at the SG or PG position. She is someone that seems to be more comfortable playing off ball but when she see's an opportunity, she is willing to take it. Toward the end of last high school season she was seeing the floor at a more consistent rate and I hope she can build on that. With the stars she will have around her this Winter, she should be able to make her mark in a number of ways each contest if she so chooses so. For now, Phillips will sit at the #6 spot in this Update.

For all intents and purposes, [player_tooltip player_id='677842' first='Tylee' last='Weite'] should be the star of Valley High School this upcoming season for a few reasons. Mainly because she played a big piece in their team puzzle last season and she will be one of the few players returning to the Varsity roster who had productive minutes each contest. When you account for that and the fact that she is putting together a rememberable AAU campaign these past few months, it makes sense. This is one of those prospects with a decently high ceiling. If she stays locked in, there is going to be several collegiate coaches reaching out to her in the near future at this point in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='502096' first='KeaOnna' last='Worley'] is playing up and taking her bruises while competing at the 17U AAU level this Spring but it's going to help her out in the long run more than anything else. Worley is a fast twitch guard, that has a smooth game. She is someone that can beat her opponent down the floor off the dribble each possession or she can take it down the court slowly to run her team's offense. The progression of her game over time is going to be the key to her success. She is someone that stood out as a Freshman last season in Iowa and I don't expect that to change this Winter but instead, I expect her to be even better with the work she is putting in and her team's new offensive system. All in all, she just needs to continue to see live situations to become better. If she can continue to do that, she will be a heck of a player by the time her career comes to a close.

Another [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] prospect out of the 2027 Class, who has been fantastic since taking the floor as a Freshman at Waukee NW is Combo Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='777233' first='Romey' last='Croatt']. Croatt does a little bit of this, a little bit of that. Not to mention, that she is pretty athletic and crafty with the basketball in her hands. Last high school season for the Wolves she was someone that stood out above most because of her ability to create something out of nothing. This upcoming season, she is going to have to demonstrate that since then she has built on that ability. In this Update Croatt sticks in the same place which is never a bad thing. She is in the Top 10 and she has a lot of room to grow. Both some pretty awesome things.

I'm expecting a big step up this season at Bishop Garrigan for Small Forward, Gracelyn Eastman. Eastman is someone that took the state by storm this past 8 months because of her mixture of size, athletic ability, and her skill level at this point in her life. She is someone that has better than average height at 6'0, she moves with quick feet and agile movements down the court, and she has a soft touch on the basketball when she is near the hoop. She has also proven that she can put the rock on the ground, taking her matchup to different spots on the floor to give her an advantage or she can just post up with her back to the basket against someone that is smaller/weaker. If she continues to play to her full potential, while being a defensive stopper and positive teammate, she is going to go places at the next level. She just needs to continue to trust in the process.
