Returning to our #1 spot in this Spring Update, we have Small Forward/Combo Guard, [player_tooltip player_id='777232' first='Melina' last='Snoozy'] of Bishop Heelan High School. Snoozy is a versatile difference maker on the floor. Coming into her Freshman year at BH she had a handful of offers from playing Varsity ball as an 8th grader in South Dakota. The past year she has built on this momentum and picked up a few more D1 offers in the meantime. Her ability to shoot the leather off of the ball, create off of the dribble, or produce off the ball is second to none out of this Class. As of right now, Snoozy is the clear favorite for this #1 spot. There are a handful of other prospects in this Class that can play and could have a higher ceiling than her but at this time, it's not a debate. If she continues to kill it with her Sanford Sport Academy team during their Live Period play on July, I'm sure she will start the 2024-2025 high school season with even more offers to compete at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='644557' first='Ari' last='Phillips'] has been a constant this AAU season once again, show her play making ability and the ability to make the others around her better. Phillips is solid right now but her ceiling is what is interesting. She could be the type to go out and average 25 PPG this next high school season for the Johnston Dragons or she could step on the court, dishing out 10 APG. Not sure if you can tell but this is a prospect that can produce all over the perimeter and in a number of different ways. It just depends on how she is feeling that day. When you take all of this into consideration and include that she has good size for her position at 5'10, while being decently athletic, you can start to see the potential in the grand scheme of things and that's why she is coming in at #2 in this Update.

Taking over the #3 spot this Spring is a prospect that put together a memorable Freshman campaign with her Sioux Center program and that is [player_tooltip player_id='777226' first='Maryn' last='Franken']. Franken is a 6'0 Small Forward with a beautiful shooting stroke once she gets next to the basket. She has a clever ability to get to the rim in a number of ways off of the catch out of the mid-post and she has fundamental back to the basket moves while understanding her own size. Not to mention, really good touch on the basketball once she gets into a favorable spot against her matchup near the rim. This Spring, Franken has received offered from NDSU, South Dakota, and South Dakota State. If she continues playing with this type of tenacity and motivation, she is going to have several other schools in the mix to recruit her moving forward.

Another prospect that cracks our Top 5 Rankings for this Class for the first time is [player_tooltip player_id='777225' first='Katie' last='Muller'] of Dowling Catholic High School. Muller is impressive to recruiters because of her mixture of size and her ability to shoot the basketball from almost anywhere on the basketball court. Muller stepped on the Varsity floor last year and made her mark with her DC program. She showed that she was going to be someone that we consistently talk about the next three years because of her ability. She demonstrated that she could be lights out from distance, that she understands when and when not to shoot, and that she has a lot of raw talent that can still be built on moving into the future. This AAU season, she followed that up by coming out firing with her EYBL team and receiving offers from Creighton and Drake most recently. At this pace, she is going to have several D1 offers by the time her high school career comes to a close, it's just going to be a matter of how many at this point.

Coming in at #5 is [player_tooltip player_id='834562' first='Logan' last='Vogt'] of Waukee NW High School. As of right now, Vogt is one of the most athletic, consistent, and naturally talented prospects that the state of Iowa has to offer out of any Class. She stands at 6'0-6'1, she seems to float when she jumps in the air near the hoop, and she knows how to use her size to her advantage in almost all situations that may take place on the floor. She is a multi-sport athlete so that's always interesting how that will play out along with this. She seems to excel on the Volleyball court as well so at the end of the day, it'll be in exciting to see what she tries to go to college for. Either way, I have a feeling there is going to be programs out there for both sports that will have interest. So she will have to figure out what she wants and work from there.
