Sievers was the Captain of the 1A All Tournament team while leading her team to a 1A State Title this past week. Throughout all three of her contests the promising guard averaged 15 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 2 APG, and 1.5 SPG, showing a good variety of skill on both offense and defense as a constant threat. This has been a prospect that has been solid for years now on the travel scene so it's not a surprise that she is standing out at this 1A level. She is making it look fairly easy so it'll be fun to see how she follows that up this Spring on the road with her Pray4Him program.

[player_tooltip player_id='1238114' first='Quinn' last='Sievers'] is the other Sievers you are going to hear a lot about over the next three seasons within Iowa high school hoops. Sievers is a short and crafty PG with natural ability. Offensively, she has great fast twitch reactions while making her first move off of the bounce and she knows how to score the ball at every level. Defensively, she sticks to her matchup and gives them hell with active hands and quick feet. This week we saw Sievers leading the pack with her creating, scoring, and rebounding ability. I think it's important to note that this is usually the smallest player on the floor but she is ALWAYS a leader in RPG, which speaks to her Willingness to mix it up in the middle. Newell-Fonda is going to be fun to watch for years to come because of the Sievers. They took over the 1A scene this season and this was only the beginning.

It was nice to see Bartolo do her thing on the State's biggest stage this past week from the SG position. Bartolo has been one of those hoopers that we have listed as a knock-down shooters from most of her high school career. She has a quick trigger and she knows how to use it within her team's offenses, depending what they are running. She is also someone good enough that she can put it on the floor and get to a more favorable spot if she is overplayed as a shooter. Bartolo was a MAJOR reason that her team had a shot at a State Title on Saturday evening. She played her heart out, left it all on the floor, and that's something you have to respect from an outside perspective. I have no clue if Bartolo is locked in for college or what her plan is but if she isn't, I'm sure there is a team or two out there that would love to use her efforts in the near future.

We have been able to be see [player_tooltip player_id='901710' first='Avah' last='Underwood'] grow over the past four years and she ended off her high school career on a high note as a top producer within the 1A Class in DSM. Underwood, the lengthy Forward, is going to be taking her talents to D2 - Wayne State to follow this season and she is ready to make her mark within that program as a contributor. She has been someone that her Saintes team has been able to rely in down by the bucket for awhile now and by the looks of it she is ready for a new challenge. Over her two games this past week she averaged a double-double of 13.5 PPG-13.5 RPG, while also dishing out 2 APG and stuffing 2 BPG back into her opponent's faces when the opportunities presented themselves. St. Albert will return a few next year from this cast but they are going to need to find a new main source of production on both ends. Whoever it is has a tall task but I'm sure they will be up for the challenge.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169117' first='Jacey' last='Johnston'] is going to be a heck of a competitor at the college level within the sport of track sole-y based on her competitiveness alone. When you pair that along with size and athletic ability, you see a whole different type of athlete. Saint Ansgar only got to Round 1 of State this past week but in that showing Johnston went crazy. (28 PPG/6 RPG) She is the only prospect out of this 1A All Tournament Team that played a single game during the week as they lost in the first round. Everyone else had to play multiple contests. She did so well showing out with her dominance in that one instance that it was impossible to keep her off of this team. It's been quite the Winter for Johnston as a whole. She might not be playing hoops anymore but I'm sure she will always look back and smile at her domination that took place on the court the past few years.

We have been getting several questions about [player_tooltip player_id='832196' first='Graclyn' last='Eastman'] from the collegiate level for years now because of her upside potential. She might compete at that 1A level but she has good size at 6'0, she isn't afraid to be physical, she has a soft touch near the hoop, she has better than average footwork, and she has a smart head on her shoulders overall. We have seen all of this stuff all Winter long now and we saw it to end the season over the past few days as well. She uses her size to her advantage and that's nice to see because that's not the case with most. I'm not sure where Eastman is going to end up but she is going to have options and her team is most likely going to be right back in the same spot next season as the are looking for a State Title once again.
