After watching their game and doing some homework they made my list of Players to Watch. The purpose of this list is to introduce my followers to players they may not know about. A player that can handle the ball, very solid mid range game and great vision in pick and roll game. Nice lift on her drives allowed her to adjust shot in mid air to finish at the rim. Great lateral defense on the ball finishing with a ball defense or timing the shot for a block. Tough on the ball defender that gives up no ground to the ball handler. The way she defended lateral instead on reaching was impressive. An aggressive downhill player on offense getting to the rim multiple times. On offense can knock down the 3 either in a catch/shoot or coming off the ball screen. A very strong mid range game with a nice pull up jumper. A tough defender on the ball and off the ball defending passing lanes. Checking out her social media and you will see that she can play some defense. Commitment to school team camp allowed her to play only on Saturday so only got to watch her play live one game. She DM letting me know she was not going to be there to speaks of her character she has. So doing some research and checking her social media and will see that she puts in the work. A highly ranked player that consistently looking to get better. Good hands and footwork around the paint made her very efficent. A 2028 playing up two levels and held her own defensively against the older post players. A incoming freshman this upcoming season that could have an impact on her HS team. Amara has a big upside and lot of potential to still get better. She is able to play multiple positions and does each one very well. She lead verbally on the floor showing leadership qualities'. I enjoyed watching her just play the game of basketball. Knocked down several from the 3 area in the game I watched. A very smooth player that never looked rattled by the pressure being applied. A lockdown defender that lateral while standing low in her stance. Great finisher at the rim using her body to shield off the taller defender. A second team All District for North Crowley. Second event I covered with her playing in and second time I have noticed her paly.
