It was electric at the FABC Showcase and many plays brought it! In this article we hilight some of the players who played well on opening day.

[player_tooltip player_id='430279' first='Jamison' last='Cardwell'] is now at GHS. She definitely is a scorer and can maneuver in tight spaces and score. Cardwell has a lot of craftiness to her game. Has the ability to attack and decelerate as she is going to the rim. Cardwell also runs the floor well and can finish with great consistency. Cardwell plays physical and finishes through contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='430248' first='Destiny' last='Donaldson'] impressed college coaches today with her versatility. Donaldson played on the wing and sometimes the versatile forward positioned herself down in the post. She played on the wing in the motion offense and had the option to attack, pass, or shoot off of the dribble. She was effective in all three areas. She hit several long range three pointers and seemed very comfortable doing so. Donaldson was still relentless on the boards, but clearly she showcased herself as a player who can play on the outside as well as on the

[player_tooltip player_id='638578' first='Saige' last='McCloud'] was impressive on the floor and a lot of college coaches were paying attention. McCloud does a little of everything on the court and handles the ball in transition. She can lead the break with good handles for a forward: she also runs the floor well on the wings and can finish when getting the ball in transition. McCloud goes hard after rebounds and gets a lot of offensive rebounds as a result. She played with a lot of physicality to her game and didn't mind mixing it up with the bigs down low.

[player_tooltip player_id='439459' first='Ashley' last='Knox'] was the real deal on Day 1 of the Showcase and showed that she is one of the best players in the 2026 class. The young Forward got into a rhythm and shot the cover off of the ball. Knox does a good job of handling ball and playing in the flow of the offense. She is very decisive on the offensive end and is a clutch player.

[player_tooltip player_id='846674' first='Eni' last='Oyedeji'] was a force on Day 1 of the Showcase, especially on the offensive end. It seemed as if she scored anytime she wanted to in the paint. When she caught the ball in the post she was nearly automatic. The young forward seemed to have a switch and the bigger the challenge the more intense she became. Even when she wasn't as intense she made scoring look easy in the paint. Defensively, she was a rim protector and blocked several shots in the paint. The young forward is one of the top players in the 2027 class and she is just touching the “top of the iceberg”.

[player_tooltip player_id='924660' first='Joba' last='Oyedji'] was a force in the paint and played with a lot of physicality. She was impressive and scoring in the paint and she played with an energy that not many could match. She got to a lot of the rebounds and she was a workhorse on the offensive end. Defensively, she got her share of blocked shots and defended all over the court. Oyedeji was one of the top 2028 players in the building.

[player_tooltip player_id='880384' first='Jada' last='Clardy'] was really impressive on Day 1 of the Showcase and took a lot of pressure off of her elite Center Chamiah Francis. Clardy was impressive in every facet of the game. On offense she was a slasher who got to the rim and scored on layups, floaters, and short jumpers. In the transition game she got to the rim and scored. She had a lot of tools in her bag. Defensively, Claridy plays good on-ball defense and was good on the passing lanes. She did a good job of turning deflections and steals into layups on the other end. The young guard passed Day 1 with flying colors.

[player_tooltip player_id='216440' first='Kailani' last='Merrell'] was a very impressive baller at the Showcase. The young shooting guard put on a shooting clinic on Day 1 with some nice and consistent three point shooting. Merrell did a good of job of getting to the rim. She makes a lot of plays on the floor and gets her teammates involved. The young guard showed why she is one of the top 2025s in the State.
