There is an abundance of girls that fly under the radar for one reason or another and these 5 girls listed below can be included in that group. These are 5 underemphasized prospects in New England to know right now.

Powers has 3-level scoring capabilities and is a first-class floor general. She controls the pace of the game at a level that is unmatched. A point guard with a great burst of speed, yet the proper tempo to scale it back when called upon in half court sets. Maeve works extraordinarily in pick & rolls and dribble handoffs. She will snake screen effectively coming downhill in an instance. Powers is a tremendous creator for others and herself. She does an excellent job getting others involved while always remaining a scoring threat herself. She is a slippery guard that finishes with contact at the rim at a high level. Powers has a bunch of different finishes at the rim and she is very crafty. Maeve was a near 12ppg scorer, added 5 rebounds, 3 assists and over 2 steals a game for North Quincy while playing a lead role in getting the squad to the post season. Powers plays for the sometimes-underestimated NE Storm, but her talent should not go unnoticed. Maeve is a highly skilled point guard that will be on college radars shortly if not already.

Gyselle is an astute and artful point guard that has dynamic talent. Mairs is a future star and its written all her. The 2027 point has a tight handle and doesn't hesitate to usher in early offense. She uses speed to her advantage, but doesn't just rely on quick transition offense to get her points. In the half court she picks apart the defense by using her sharpshooting and swift takes to the rim. Mairs has incorporated a very deceptive euro step into her drives when faced with a help side defender that she uses at will. As a passer, Gyselle makes some head-turning one-hand dimes in transition. She is such a threat on offense that it requires extra defenders to stay aware of her and this allows her to find open teammates much easier. Mairs has a fun burst and shimmer to her game that makes her one of the most fun guards to watch. Mairs has already raised some eyebrows with her play in Atlantic City this year. Before the summer is over, she should surely have put the region on notice that she is one of the premier talents around. A true underrated talent, but not for long.

[player_tooltip player_id='298229' first='Isys' last='Dunphy'] (2026) | 5'10 Wing/Forward | Boston Showstoppers

The newly acquired Cushing Academy wing/forward is an excellent all-around talent. Dunphy is comfortable just about everywhere from the perimeter down to the block. Dunphy is a patient and athletic player that uses her natural gifts to her advantage. Very long strides and great size make for an excellent 2-way wing talent. Not overly exceptional at one area, but solid in many categories. An understated part of Dunphy's game is her in-between scoring. She has a knack for finding the ball and just figures out ways to score in unconventional spots on the floor. Isys has a developed pull-up jumper that she uses from midrange generously. On defense, her frame allows her to stay with shooting guards, wings and even smaller centers at times. Isys can switch screens or fight over them to recover quickly. At Cushing this year, she will get a chance to test her skills up against premier talent and expect Dunphy to make at mark at her position in NEPSAC. Schools should surely be alerted of Isys and her potential as a 2-way wing.

The 6'0 wing/forward has tons of upside and has the size with all the intangibles to compete highly at the next level. She is an athletic player that has tons of versatility, especially in transition. She has a soft touch around the rim and finishes tough layups all over crowding defenders. A solid off-ball 3-point option within the offense. Versterholm works well in a lot of situations and was an excellent glue piece for a talented St. Andrew's team this year. Kayli has a way of doing all the little things on the court that may not get recorded on the stat sheet. Defensively, Versterholm can guard multiple defenders and her long arms assist her in her efforts. Kayli has the stunning ability to halt transition offense by herself. She sprints back on defense and picks up multiple assignments at the point of attack. Kayli has been playing well as of late and expect her to keep up with the momentum for the rest of the summer. Vesterholm is a very intriguing and noteworthy prospect that deserves more recognition.

[player_tooltip player_id='428117' first='Ariana' last='Ingram'] (2025) | 5'8 CG | Bay State Jags

Ariana is a high-powered and crafty combo guard that plays with a level of electricity. A sharp offensive creator off the dribble. Ingram puts pressure on the defense with her strong takes to the basket and her ability to make plays for teammates. Although Ingram can be a potent scorer, she loves to get the open player involved after drawing the defense. Ariana is a high-level ballhandler in tight spaces. Ariana has an excellent in-between game with her floaters while carving out lanes and finishing with either hand. Ingram has perfected her timing of layups with defenders in the lane. Shes able to finish unorthodox takes at the rim to offset shot blockers in traffic. Defensively, Ingram shows a ton of effort in the press and guarding head up. She gets plenty of deflections with her fast hands and hustles to all the 50/50 balls. Her defensive ability to generate turnovers leads to easy points for herself on the other end. Overall, there aren't too many prospects with as much game to theirs as Ingram. One of the more underrated players in all of New England.
