This weekend was one of the biggest events of the year during the Summer AAU season in Nike TOC, Nike EYBL Nationals, & USJN/BlueStar all taking place under one roof at McCormick Place in Chicago. This weekend annual brings in over 7000+ girls to compete over four days, eventually crowning a champion for each age group and event on the final day. In this article we highlight some prospects that stood out for their performances on Sunday and the Live Notes I wrote down while watching them compete.

"Watching five star Kaleena Smith has been eye opening in a number of different ways. This is my first time seeing Smith and she might be the best PG I've seen on the road this year. She has everything a coach at the next level is looking for. She controls tempo, is scoring at an elite rate, can defend in the open court on an island intensely, and her shooting stroke is picture perfect every time she lets it go. She also communicates well and has mental discipline in every aspect. When you piece that all together, you get a winner."

"[player_tooltip player_id='884400' first='Aubrey' last='Meyer'] is going to be a very good basketball prospect by the time she get into high school if she stays in love with the sport and the process of continuing to improve in the off-season. Meyer has length for her age at 5'9, she has a coordinated handle with the ability to take her opponent off the dribble, she isn't afraid to score at the basket against smaller opponents, and she has a few different counter moves to use to get an open look at the rim if she is ever cut off by her matchup. She brings a lot of positives to the court and I hope that continues moving forward."

"[player_tooltip player_id='638015' first='Maryne' last='Szalo'] and her EYCL team stayed undefeated throughout Sunday, giving them a chance at the 10th grade EYCL Platinum Championship on Monday afternoon. A big reason for their second win of today is because of their resilience. Tree Of Hope brought in a high octane program and The Attack just kept up with their pace. One of their constants to help propel them in the second half of this one was Szalo. Szalo got a few buckets to go at the rim over smaller defenders late in the fourth quarter, after she beat them off the dribble out of the mid-post. In the end, this was a big difference maker and a reason they are moving on."

"MW Premier EYBL 17U beat the [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] 17U EYBL today to end their National Championship hopes. A main reason for their success in this game and all weekend long is their Forward, 6'2 - Nation Williams. Williams was too much to handle in her team's big win and thats basically the situation every time she takes the floor it seems like. She is a walking double-double in points and rebounds on a national level so it's going to be exciting to see where she can take things from here."

Lower is known for being a knock down shooter and that's been on full display in this contest. Her team is running motion offense and moving the ball, opening up the outside for jumpers and they are knocking a lot down at the moment. Lower is going to be a great college player once she gets there, where ever she may end up."
