The featured image is of [player_tooltip player_id='496006' first='Camryn' last='Andrus'] (2025) of Eastern Hancock High School and the Kentucky Blue Devils UA Rise 17U.

The last NCAA "live" period of 2024 is upon us, and for the 2025 class, it's the last grassroots tournament most of these ladies will play in their careers. Indiana prospects have traveled to Rockhill, South Carolina, Chicago, Illinois, and Louisville, Kentucky, for tournaments, while I've followed a large group to Hamilton, Ohio, for "The Finale". Here there is a regular tournament, the Under Armour Finals, and the UA Rise Finals. Saturday, I spent some time watching a mixture of prospects, but several younger players really stood out. Below is a look at several prospects who I felt played well during the second day of games.

.

Camryn is a gritty, tough-nosed wing who always plays with a nice motor. She plays bigger and stronger than she looks, and she can affect the game from all three levels. She can knock down an open rhythm jumper, she can attack the basket North/South, plus she'll get inside to defend and rebound. I really like a lot of the intangible qualities she brings to a team, and she should have a much bigger role for the Royals during the 2024-2025 season. I think she can come into a small college situation in a year and help them with her winning qualities.

Morgan was locked in all day Saturday, and when she plays with that kind of urgency, she has double-double potential each time she takes the floor. She was active on the boards, she found space off of teammates' penetration and scored easy points at the basket, plus she knocked down a couple of mid-post jumpers. She is a nice, strong athlete, she has good hands, and she can play with an inside-out versatility. She has several tools to offer, and she could have a nice Senior season for the Bulldogs, if she continues to stay aggressive at both ends of the floor.

I was clamoring all Spring for Swynn to be almost a little more selfish offensively, because she has the potential to be an outstanding scorer at all three levels. Saturday, she was just that when I saw her. She buried multiple jumpers from the perimeter, got to the basket with ease and finished athletically, plus she did a nice job of using her ball skill to break down the defense and find open teammates. She had a stretch where she scored several points quickly. Defensively, she has the length and the athletic ability to be a problem, whether that's against bigger guards or wings.

I have seen Ava several times over the past couple of years, but this was my first time this Spring or Summer to see her at length. She looks noticeably stronger, even a bit more explosive, and she continues to be a nicely skilled wing/guard. She has an accurate perimeter jumper, she's attacking the basket more often, absorbing contact better, plus she is attacking the boards with more intent. As she continues her progression, I think over the next year Ava can become a really nice scoring threat who many of the small colleges in the region will like.

Franklin Central has an outstanding 2027 class, but I had yet to see Aniya this Spring or Summer. She could be a really nice "sleeper" among a much more publicized group of Flashes. She is a long, wiry-strong athlete, she is good creating offense off the dribble, plus she can initiate the offense and find open teammates in positions to score. I also think the combination of her size, length, and athleticism could allow her to be a talented defender who can match up against different types of guards and wings. Look for her to take the next step in 2024-2025.

After watching Claire for the first time last Fall, I have been extremely impressed with her growth as a player this Spring & Summer. She is a long, wiry, fluid athlete, and she has developed her skill quite a bit. She has a solid handle, she can create off the dribble for herself or teammates, plus she has touch from around the perimeter. She plays with a lot more poise than her age might suggest, and she seems to impact the game in critical ways each time out. Greensburg should be a major presence in Class 3A in 2024-2025, and Claire will be a big part of it.

Brooklyn possesses the combination of skill, talent, and potential. She is a long, wiry-strong athlete who moves well in all directions. She has nice balance and control, she can handle the ball and create offense, plus she has an athletic jump-shot that she can stop & pop from 3-point range or pull up and knock down in the mid-range game. She is also an athletic defender. At her size, if she can become more of a facilitator, it would certainly help her recruiting, but she is such a nice shooter/scorer right now, I am curious to see if she continues to grow any more.
