You can say many things to describe the kind of basketball player [player_tooltip player_id='443350' first='Micah' last='Ojo'] is. She is the best public school player in the state and an outstanding player in basically every aspect. This was displayed in Princess Anne's state final win, and it was the first time I could watch her in person. Micah's shooting was one of the big standouts for me, especially towards the end of the game. Micah has the length to shoot over people with her 6'1 frame, and she is automatic in the mid-range. Micah's ability to spot up and consistently knock down jump shots will serve her well at the next level. You are looking at a prototypical wing at a Power 5 school.

[player_tooltip player_id='443366' first='Justice' last='Brown-Jones'] had a great freshmen season for Norfolk Christian. Justice didn't shoot the ball at a high level, but she hit her free throws decently well, which usually indicates how good a shooter someone will be. Justice still knocked down 25 threes. Justice can play either guard position, and she is a real shot-creator. At 6'1, Justice can get shots over players and does a good job creating space with her handle.

[player_tooltip player_id='383500' first='Catherine' last='LeTendre'] is another player who did not shoot the ball at a high percentage, but she had the volume and shot the ball well from the line. Catherine will play Lacrosse in college, but she has the skill set to play basketball at the next level. Catherine can play as a big guard or as a wing. She is good around the rim and has developed a solid jumper over the past two years. This year for Potomac School, I see her playing more as a forward because of their wing and guard talent. She will be a matchup nightmare for the slower players that guard her. She can step out and hit spot-up threes, and I think you will see an increase in efficiency. The free throw shooting is good, which is always a great indicator.

[player_tooltip player_id='304787' first='Rayne' last='Wright'] is not the kind of player who needs to knock down a bunch of shots to make her presence felt in a game. But her ability to knock down threes is part of what makes her one of the best guards in the state. Rayne moves well without the ball and does excellent as a spot-up shooter. She doesn't allow teams to force her into tough shots from three, and when they run her off the line, she is comfortable hitting a mid-range or getting to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='300652' first='Ava' last='Johnson'] is a confident and reliable shooter with great size. She has a fantastic shooting motion and gets it up over charging defenders with her length. Ava shot the ball well last year for Steward, and a little more volume behind the arc could serve her well. She does well popping off of picks to get catch-and-shoot opportunities for herself. She is a good free throw shooter and has nice touch. Ava can be a nice stretch five or stay as more of a four. Either way, she is effective. She shot 35% from three for Steward last year.
