This offseason saw quite a bit of movement of players from one school to another.

Here, I take a look at some of the transfers that I feel will have the biggest impact at their new schools this season.

Kyra reached 1000 career points and 500 career rebounds, while averaging a team-leading 21.1 PPG along with 7.8 RPG. She also shot an impressive 81% and went 146 for 180 from the free throw line for Perry County last season. Kyra is a prolific scorer that can put up 25+ points when ever she steps on the floor. She played at a high level this summer for the [program_tooltip program_id='712592' first='Kentucky' last='Premier'] E40 2025 team and will more than likely be the 1st scoring option for Knott County Central this season.

All-Area player [player_tooltip player_id='885340' first='Alaya' last='Quisenberry'] had a terrific junior campaign for Danville last season. She was second in scoring (14.9 PPG) and looked comfortable in her role as the lead guard. Alaya is a "Wizard" with the basketball. She makes brilliant passes, has a tight handle along with blazing speed and she loves to push the rock! She has made the move to Danville Christian for her senior year and looks to be a major contributor with [player_tooltip player_id='403464' first='Grace' last='Mbugua'] potentially being sidelined for the season due to injury.

Addison was the second-leading scorer (13.8 PPG) and rebounder (8.5 RPG) for an Owsley County team that made it to the Sweet 16 for the first time in school history last season. She is a phenomenal rebounder and a really good outside shooter that can knock in 3's at a high rate. I believe Addison is just what Montgomery County needed to remain one of the top teams in the 10th region.

Bailee made the move to Assumption along with 3 of her teammates from CAL. She averaged 13.8 points and 4.5 rebounds a game for the Centurions last season. I watched her a couple times this summer playing for the Sports City Angels 17U EYBL. She looked good running the point, shot the ball well from the mid-range and was all up in ball handlers on defense. Bailee picked up her 3rd D1 from Purdue Fort Wayne in June. She could be the X-factor for the new look Lady Rockets this year.

Notre Dame Academy has a game-changing player on the way in Joslyn LaBordeaux-Humphrey. She is a 6'0 wing that can do a little bit of everything, whether its crashing the boards, attacking off the dribble, locking down on "D", or making shots from the perimeter Joslyn will deliver! In her sophomore season at Boone County she averaged a double-double with 12.4 PPG and 11.3 RPG. She also reached 500 career rebounds, was a NKY D1 All-Conference and 9th Region 3rd team selection. Joslyn works tirelessly on her game and should be a key player for the Pandas this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='739715' first='Nia' last='Carr'] has been on a journey in her basketball career. She played on varsity at LCA in middle school, then went to Great Crossing last year for her freshman season and is now at Frederick Douglass. But if you ask me I think Douglass is the right fit for her. Nia is more of a pure point guard and the way she sees the floor and facilitates, will allow [player_tooltip player_id='254276' first='Kate' last='Baker'] to play off the ball and looked to score more. I think Nia could have a similar impact as Jermyra Christian did during the 2022-2023 season.
