I caught a lot of these young ladies very early, like before their first high school game, and watching their on-the-court progression had me smiling, especially since I hadn't seen many in quite some time yet like the license plate slogan I memorized as a young lad, Oklahoma is OK, yet they are more than just okay.

Williams had me go back to the future using the search bar and a PassThaBall article popped up yet it was an event thrown by Cynthia Guillory that opened the door to what was coming. Inside, and outside, she gave me everything including going coast to coast and finishing acrobatically yet watching her elevate to score over taller players and the step back had me SMH

Jones also stood out at that Pass Tha Ball event and her maturity on the court has always been something I enjoyed seeing because "poise under pressure" may seem small, but it's huge in the big picture. Her court vision in the set and transition was nice, as was her scoring both off the dribble and from midrange. She also applied "on the ball" pressure

Another standout from that same Pass Tha Ball event and notice I said she was "long and athletic" and her "upside was scary" and when you know and don't guess, things fall into place. She finished around the basket after contact, putbacks included yet her "catch and shoot" from outside was also nice. Her rebounding as well as defense stood out yet her timing to black, alter, and (or) deflect shots JUST DID IT for me

Brown showed she could play multiple positions and when you factor in she's "long and athletic" and stands above "the magic number" Her intangibles shine because she defends inside the paint and can step outside of it and apply "on the ball" pressure. She also played the passing lane and scored off the dribble

Haywood grabbed my attention a couple of years ago at this same event. I love seeing players play the passing lane and that coupled with the "long and athletic" profile are pluses. She scored off the dribble, she rebounded on both ends and she applied heat "on the ball" showing she could pick pockets using her quick hands

I didn't get a chance to see Vann this go round yet her ability to control the paint, on both ends of the court has become special yet I did say at that same Pass Tha Ball event that her "upside was through the roof" but when you know, you know
