PGH Freshman Showcase: Team 3 Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2028 attendee list had us eager to watch them compete at our Freshman Showcase on August 25th, 2024. Our unique format included 5 hours of games split up into predetermined 3v3, 5v5, and pool play to end the event. Let's talk about media exposure. There have been thousands of views from viewers on X of coverage provided by our scouts during the event, and our written articles will be read by hundreds. Every participant will receive a write-up in our articles, which is something unique and special about Prep Girls Hoops showcases. She put her foot down and attacked a defender hard off the dribble to draw a foul, then knocked down her free throw. Maci crashed the boards for offensive rebounds to create extra scoring opportunities and pushed the ball with her eyes up to find open teammates in transition. She showed extreme toughness to play through pain after absorbing hard contact on defense. Sienna attacked her defenders with effective dribbles to draw fouls on her drives and convert contested layups. She showed her shooting range, draining a corner 3 and multiple wing 3s. Adalyn handled the ball well under pressure, finding open teammates, and beating her defender off the dribble to score off two at the rim. She stayed in front of her opponent and closed out hard to force a missed shot. Elle used a solid spin dribble to create space from her defender and beat her defender with a hard drive off the dribble to score a right-handed scoop layup through a foul. She knocked down a smooth wing 3 with a high arc off the dribble, created space using behind-the-back snaps, and scored multiple layups off two at the rim. She attacked defenders off the dribble and recognized when to patiently bring the ball out. Lyla dished a strong 1-handed pass on a rope to her teammate in transition and buried a high-arcing 3 from the corner. Lyla boxed out hard to secure rebounds and drove full court to score a layup. Paisley used multiple attack moves to beat her defender off the dribble and either earned free throws or finished layups on her drives. She caused the help to commit and then dished accurate passes to open teammates in the post for assists. Paisley worked hard on defense to pressure the ball, create steals, and deflect passes. Raquel pursued the ball sideline to sideline and put her body on the line to make plays for her team. She viciously swatted shots in the paint and elevated way up for rebounds, putbacks, and block attempts in transition. On one play she jumped so high attempting a block that I seriously thought she hit her head on the bottom of the backboard. Raquel was relentless on the offensive boards, blew by defenders to score layups, and converted shots off two in the paint. Alexandria swiped the ball away on defense and pushed the tempo with her dribble in transition before using a swift spin dribble to draw a foul on her drive. She worked for an offensive rebound and caused a foul to earn a free throw. Shelby froze her defender with a pause off the catch and beat her baseline off the dribble. She recognized when to pass the ball and created open looks for teammates.
