This part two of my 2027 all-Kansas summer ball team moves from point and shooting guards, in part one, to combo guards and small forwards. This look at 2027s follows on the heals of my previously released 2025 and 2026 teams. When the summer club season comes to an end I enjoy putting together my all-summer ball teams, arranged by class.

[player_tooltip player_id='779206' first='Aliviah' last='Ball'], 5'9", SF, Wheatland-Grinnell - Ball had a strong summer, attracting quite a bit of attention on the Prep Girls Hoops Dynasty Circuit. Long, slender with terrific hops (among the top 1A long and high jumpers in the class) she has among the strongest and quickest turnaround jumpers around. Laterally quick with transition speed, off rebounds and turnovers she got the ball out consistently well to get the transition game going.

[player_tooltip player_id='779249' first='Lily' last='Edwards'], 5'9", SF, Clay Center - Edwards should attract attention over the upcoming year as she is a terrific player with length, fluid perimeter shooting with range, and scoring ability. Also fast in transition she effectively uses her length to block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='897261' first='Mariah' last='Heron'], 5'5", CG, Derby - A solidly skilled physical finisher Heron always seemed to find her way into the lane. Off the drive, catching passes on the move and rebounding the ball on both ends. Also a good passer, Heron has a good repertoire of shots to put the ball in the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='779223' first='Destiny' last='Maze'], 5'8", CG, Wichita Heights - Fast, very quick and rangy with a high IQ Maze is very formidable on both ends. She uses her length and her quick hands and feet to disrupt guards as well as small forwards. A walking three point play due to her good free throw shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='723402' first='Taylor' last='McCarty'], 5'9", CG, Cheylin - The 1A D II all-state McCarty has quickly developed into one of the top players in the classification regardless of year. In the past year McCarty added a couple inches and filled into her frame. That alone bodes trouble for opponents as she racked up more than 520 points on a greater than 20 points per game clip her freshman year. A solid three level scorer there were a couple things that really caught my eye. McCarty used her handles to dribble out of trouble and create off the bounce. She also boxed out perimeter opponents as well as anyone I saw. McCarty picked up an offer from Southeast Missouri State University mid-summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='889727' first='Ashlynn' last='Reed'], 5'7", Wichita East - Reed is a difficult defender to move much less get by. Not only does she have a solid frame and good strength she also uses her hops, quickness, and aggressiveness to be relentless rebounder on both ends. Offensively she can beat defenders off the dribble and score after putting together a multiple moves. While undersized at the forward position her game is one to watch in the years ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id='932970' first='Alex' last='Suter-Tan'], 5'7", CG, Trinity Catholic - Suter-Tan impacts her team on both ends. Just does a great deal of dirty work with her hustle, aggressiveness and scrappiness. With the ball she is is aggressive going at defenders with strong ball skills and finishes well with either hand. Suter-Tan also knocks down the occasional three ball with range.

[player_tooltip player_id='719105' first='Jaela' last='Thompson'], 5'10", SF, Maize South - Thompson showed off her diverse offensive game both on the run in transition and working in the half court. Terrifically quick hands an instincts make her a absolute thief off the ball but what I really like is how she gives grown on attackers as a means to challenge or block shots.
