Making her season debut, Izzie dazzled with her polished game. The strongly built playmaker uses her body exceptionally well when slicing through the defense. She embraces contact and finishes skillful scoop layups with both hands and both sides of the rim. Izzie sees the floor extremely well, delivering sharp pocket passes to her rolling teammates. Defensively, Izzie didn't give up an inch, quick to force turnovers. In a win against Gilmer, Izzie racked up 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 6 steals. At 5-foot-9, Matthews can play inside and out. She does a nice job rebounding and protecting the rim. On Saturday, it was her fluidity with her jumper that really impressed me. She sank a mid-range jumper and then netted a smooth three-pointer off the catch. Brenley posted 7 points and 4 rebounds.
