In one of Hancock County's games back in February, Newby dropped 22 points to lead her Hornets to a 57-48 victory over Muhlenberg County. For the 2023-24 season, Newby averaged 10.6 points. She will trade a red uniform for a green one in 2024-25. Hancock County's loss will be Owensboro Catholic's gain as Newby will bring her many hoops talents to the Aces. Newby will be a worthwhile addition to an Owensboro Catholic team that finished with a 29-5 record and came within one game of the Kentucky State Sweet 16. She will fill the void left by the recently graduated Jenna Krampe, who averaged 12.8 points per game.

Mosley is ready to continue to give her most to the Kentucky high school girls basketball scene. Another GEM from Grace James, she averaged 17.6 points in 2023-24 for a team that finished with a 13-2 record. After running on the grassroots circuit with KentuckyPremier EYBL, she will be a worthwhile addition to a Butler team that finished with a 28-10 record last season and made it to the Sweet 16 semifinals. With her ability to take care of the ball and her accuracy from 3-point range as part of her vast skillset, Mosley is poised to continue to make a lot of noise around the Bluegrass State.

When one gains varsity experience as a seventh grader, that means someone is doing something correct. That applies to Jones who had that opportunity with Grayson County. Jones was part of a 2023-24 Cougars rendition that finished with a 22-8 record (8-1 in its district). Toughness is one of the hallmarks of her game and she plays the game with a high basketball IQ – one that will only become more pronounced as her career blossoms. Jones knows when to shoot and when to attack the basket, plays hard on defense and delivers plenty of heart and hustle. Last season, she averaged 11.3 points as an eighth grader.

Last season, the 2023-24 version of Scott had a number of underclassmen as part of its roster. Mejia stood out amongst that assembling of youngsters. She averaged 9.4 points per season for an Eagles team that concluded the season with a 17-12 record – an impressive showing for a team with plenty of underclassmen. Mejia thrives at the one in the backcourt. She combines rim attacking abilities with speed and has no problems drawing contact to get to the free throw line. Mejia will begin her freshman season at Scott following a stint during the spring and summer with Midwest Takeover.

We shift our focus to the Cincinnati metropolitan area. A versatile freshman out of Northern Kentucky, Jones averaged 9.4 points for Beechwood last season. Jones showcases her versatility with where she can play on the floor. She primarily operates as a two guard, but can shift to the frontcourt where she can play the three. Jones displays how accurate she can be behind the 3-point arc in addition to the steals she can collect as a defender. With Jones returning for her freshman campaign, her Tigers are more than poised to improve on the nine wins that were compiled in 2023-24.
