In this article we highlight five more prospects out of the 2026 Class in Iowa, that have all risen their stock over the past two months. Each player may have only moved up a handful of spots but as I always say, any movement at this point in the process is a positive thing!

"Styles make fights." This is a phrase that you may have heard before and in a lot of situations in life, it is true. In this situation, CG - [player_tooltip player_id='641977' first='Grace' last='Fincham'] of IC - West is a tough matchup to handle in 1v1 situations. From what I've seen over the past few months, no one can really make her mixture of size, skill, touch, and coordination around the rim. Especially if she gets a first step on anyone who may be guarding her. Fincham is coming off of an AAU season with the [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] that helped her grow as a player and person. With the surrounding cast that will be around her this Winter with the Trojans, she should be able to take her momentum from AAU season and channel it into another great six months of ball at the Varsity level.

I would watch out for Xavier High School. If they don't get in their own way and the role players on the Varsity roster make the most of their opportunities, then the Saints are going to have a great shot at getting back to the State Tournament, maybe even giving them a chance to bring home the State Title. A big reason for their success will be because of the play of their starting PG, [player_tooltip player_id='502101' first='Madden' last='Wilson']. Wilson has demonstrated over her time on the high school floor that she can produce in a number of different ways. When you pair that along with the fact that she is competing along side other talented prospects, you see the promise. Wilson is going to be that PG that controls tempo and sets up everyone else around for success while leading her group by example. If she does her job, she is going to love the results following the season, no matter how it may end.

[player_tooltip player_id='901710' first='Avah' last='Underwood'] has that mixture of height, speed, patience, discipline, efficiency, and physicality that all coaches love to see from a coaching and recruiting perspective. Underwood has slowly progressed over the past two years and she is set to have her best season to date this upcoming Winter at St. Albert Catholic High School. This is a prospect that stands at 6'0, she has a balanced shooting stroke from all offensive levels, and she can finish at the rim in the plethora of different ways. Defensively, her length helps her get a lot of tips/deflections throughout the duration of a contest, leading to more possessions for her squad in the end. If Underwood continues to grow and expand her play-style, who knows where she could take things.

[player_tooltip player_id='839335' first='Maiah' last='Murphy'] of Grandview Christian High School has been a prospect that I have seen a lot about online the past few months and after seeing her in person to end the AAU season, I can confidently say that she is a solid prospect with some promise to play at the next level, if she so chooses. Murphy might only by 5'4 but she makes up for that size with her tenacious defense, thorough handle, quick decision making skills, and her vision in the full court. From the looks of it, no matter who Murphy is competing against, she is always a factor on both sides of the ball for her team and that says something. It says that she is always up for the challenge and ready to go. This Winter, I expect Murphy to standout for her GVC team once again. If it's like anything in years past, she is going to be just fine.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck always brings an experienced product to the Varsity floor each season and they will look at do the same once again this upcoming Winter. One of their upperclassmen producers that will be returning to the group is lengthy PG, [player_tooltip player_id='796969' first='Elly' last='Sieh']. Sieh is listed at 5'11, she has natural instincts on both ends of the floor and over the next two seasons, she could become a hot commodity throughout the state of Iowa for collegiate recruiters. There aren't too many PG's throughout the Midwest that stand at about 6'0 but Sieh is one of them and that plays a factor into her recruitment. She is the natural height of a Division-1 PG and that is something I cannot say for most prospects. Now can she use that to her advantage? I think so but we will just have to see how this upcoming season unfolds!
