Hidden Gems at Open Gyms and Fall Ball

Most of these players are incoming Freshmen and Sophomores and players who are developing into some really good prospects. The young wing player has leadership written all over her with the way she carrries herself. Her basketball IQ was impressive as well and that was observed rather quickly. Warner has great court vision and plays with a lot of smarts on the court. She had some nice passes and made a nice back door cut to the basket. Brenneman is a hidden gem on the basketball court largely because of how elite she is in Lacrosse. Brenneman has that quick-twitch athleticism that seems unreal at times. Brenneman played well as a Freshman, but she looks more explosive. The young guard can get to the rim and score the basketball. Brenneman has a nice three point shot. The young guard is poised to have a great year. You may have slept on her 7.8 point average and 4 rebound average per game from the guard position. Gaines is athletic, has good handles, and knows how to drive the ball to the rim and score. Gaines is athletc and gets to the rim in a hurry. Gaines stands out and is fun to watch in transition. She is a relentless player who puts the pressure on the defense to stop her. Donohue looked the part and played well at open gym and during summer league play. Donolhue has never met a rim that she didn't want to attack. She is a versatile offensive player who has a nice midrange shot and a nice float game in the paint. She can also stick the three poiont shot. Donohue is that player who can cover three positions and with her great length, she can defend in the paint and on the perimeter. She gained a lot of attention this past summer during travel ball and summer basketball. Parker averaged over 16.8 points per game, 10.3 rebounds, and over 3 blocked shots per game. Parker is on the verge of being a dominant center on the defensive end and on the offensive end as well. Parker also runs the floor well and can finish on the break. Over the summer, the 6'1" center showed a nice shooting touch from behind the arc. ADespite the impressive stats, Parker has been a hidden gem.
