I-35 Showcase Players to Watch List (Part 1)

I was able to watch some of the skills set, 3 on 3 action, and 5 on 5 play. These are Notes not full evaluations as I was watch several teams and players. Great footwork on the catch gives her a very quick release. Listed as a SG but has the handles and could play the point spot if needed. Impressive was the patience on the drive to take a good shot. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A all out hustler on both ends of the floor that stood out Sunday. Incoming sophomore for a Bixby program that has produced great guards. Caught my eye was the solid footwork in the post area. Great body control on showing up/under, turnaround over the shoulder and pound dribble just to mention several moves used to score with. Strong defender that does not mind competing inside with the taller players. Showed several moves in the post area with an nice up and under being the move. Does have good mid range jump shot that look smooth and on point. Hustlers on the board that gives her the potential to be a double double candidate for the Lady Panthers </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Maggie brings a inside toughness to the Harrah Panthers program. Great hands and solid footwork in the low post allowed to control the inside paint. Nice handles in the open floor allowing her at times to grab the rebound and start the fastbreak. Knocked down several mid range jumpers which later opened up driving lanes on poor closeouts. Good and quick early defensive rotation blocking many shots in 5 on5 play. Transfer from Grind Prep to Newcastle. Good hesi and crossover kept her blowing by the defense to score layups. As the defense made the adjustments she went on fire from 3 knocking down 5 in a row. Great vision on the paint touches either hitting the drop pass or kicking it out for the open 3. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After seeing her play for the first time I can see why she is ranked as 2nd best PG in class of 2026. Jumper has range from from beyond the arch to go along with a strong mid range pull up. An aggressive driver to the rim drawing contact creating several And 1 opportunities. Showed nice handles and ability to take her man to the rim. Finished one series with a nice spin move. I would list her as a must find outside shooter as she was very consistently knocking down the shot. I also liked the bump and step back off the dribble that created space for a tough jumper off the drive. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Paige caught my eye with the changing of the dribble to get to the rim. Nice moves and finished around the rim. A member of a very talented 2927 group at Mustang. Nice footwork on the block showing a properly executed up and under move for the finish. Relocated several times on the offensive end making herself available for the knock down 3. Runs the floor filling the spot in front of the rim for the easy basket in transition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Defensively a true power forward that using her legs and low center of gravity to battle with other post players. Nice job taking away the baseline turn walling up and sometimes created a turnover. Another player that I am seeing for the first time.
