Saturday, Prep Girls Hoops Indiana held its first ever Sophomore ID Camp to help identify and showcase several of the state's top Sophomores. With 84 prospects from the 2027 class in attendance, this provided an opportunity to see them compete head-to-head, as well as together, in a combination of 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 games. Below is a look at seven additional guards & wings who I felt stood out when I had the chance to see them. We will have additional articles later this week highlighting every prospect who was in attendance.

Olivia is a nice, strong wing guard who has improved quite a bit over the past 9-12 months. She has adjusted well to the physicality of the high school game, and I'm curious to see what she does this Winter. She has North/South athleticism, length as well, and she understands how to use her body to create space to get a shot away. She has touch from the perimeter when she's able to find rhythm, but her drives and pull-ups are tough to defend as well. She also plays with effort and has awareness at the defensive end.

Arianna is part of a nice 2027 class for the Lady Panthers, and I felt like she had a really good Spring and Summer grassroots season. She has a strong, athletic frame with some length. She is a nice athlete in most directions, and she plays with some physicality, but also with some shiftiness in her game. She is a scorer and a weapon on offense, and she uses the dribble well to create space. She has touch outside, but she can also get downhill in a hurry and finish around the basket. She also has the potential to become a tough defender.

Macy is a little different style of player from her teammate above. She has nice size, a solid to strong, athletic frame, and she also moves well around the floor. But Macy is difficult to define by position because she is so versatile. When she has her feet set and finds rhythm, she is a very capable shooter. At the same time, she likes to be a playmaker off the bounce, find open teammates, plus score it inside herself. She can defend multiple positions as well, and she is an effective rebounder as a perimeter player.

I first saw Sadey in May and added her to our watch list in June. She has an athletic frame, nice length, and she has some North/South speed. She is a catch-and-shoot guard with nice touch from the perimeter. She has started to attack the basket more, and she is strong enough now to absorb contact better. Sadey plays with a motor, she will chase down rebounds, and she can defend multiple positions. I think as she grows her game, if she can be a bit more dynamic off the bounce and defend smaller water-bugs better, it will help.

Havana is and has been a playmaker. She can score the ball from all three levels, but she also has some creativity to her game and can find open teammates consistently as well. She has a strong frame, broad shoulders, and really nice length. However, she looks a little leaner and more naturally explosive this year. As she continues to build her skillset, I look for her to extend her range but also get to the rim more and use the free throw line as a weapon. I do like her grit and willingness to rebound and defend multiple positions.

Emma is an extremely long and wiry wing. She has grown a little and might be closer to 5'11 now, plus while she still needs to add strength, she does look a little stronger, and she is battling more around the basket for rebounds and put-backs. She has some touch facing the basket to the 3-point line, and as that strength comes, her consistency should only continue to improve. She is what I like to call a "wait-and-see" kid, because she needs time to let her frame finish growing, but she has really nice upside as a ballplayer.

Zakaela can be a handful for her peers, because she is such a strong, almost powerful, highly active wing. She is kind of a point forward, kind of a power guard, and if she gets out in transition, she is on attack and will be very aggressive North/South at getting to the basket. She has broad shoulders, some length, and she is another one of those aforementioned "running backs" out there. She will rebound and defend, but I think the biggest thing for her is to take her athleticism and learn how to change speeds better.
