The Maryland Expo: All Showcase Team

She had the mid range game down to perfection and she has emerged as a three point shooting threat. She is very skilled and has an infectious attitude that helped some of the other players open up. She knocked down the game winner in the 3x3 championship and saw plays develop well before her teammates got open. She was clearly one of the top players not only in the camp but the Centerville student should be one of the top players in the state of Virginia. She may be too young to know who God Shammgod was but she sure pulled off his famous Shammgod move into a wrap around that made the defender disappear and the coaches asking who she was. She showed a very high IQ and great touch on her shot. Her first step was a blur and her baseline to baseline speed was very impressive. She shot the ball really well and showed great vision in the open floor. She was especially good in the three on three games and the three point contest getting in the finals. She was getting players in position, celebrating her teammates makes, talking on the floor and coaching players up after mistakes. Her deep ball is really nice and she has some tricks in her handle that will break a defender down. Each game she showed another level to what she could do and I didn't want it to end. I have seen her play several times before but she showed me a level that I hadn't seen with her high school team. She may be the catalyst for Mt. By the end of the day she was phenomenal. Every missed shot, every loose ball she was there for a putback. She finished play after play and at a certain point she had to be noticed. She worked her way onto the MVP list by her continued effort especially when other players started to fade. She had her windup on her approach and you knew something special was about to happen. She worked her bag of moves and counter moves and a sprinkle of eurosteps on her way to the rim. Her game is rapidly maturing which is perfect timing as she will be the leader at her new school this year.
